Very saddened to learn only recently about Noel Widerberg who died in a motor car accident many years ago in Sydney. Such a big shame a beautiful man with a great voice was taken from us at such a young age. If anybody knows some personal facts about Noel, where he once lived etc, i would love to hear from you. I would love to visit his final resting place one day. thanks from a Perth guy.
GREAT MEMORIES - TAKING ME BACK MANY YEARS GROWING UP IN BEAUTIFUL SYDNEY AND GOING OUT A COUPLE OF TIMES WITH BRIAN - THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES - HAVE BEEN LIVING IN THE U.S.A FOR MANY YEARS BUT WILL ALWAYS BE AN AUSSIE AND MISS AUSTRALIA. THANKS AGAIN.
ive always loved the deltones, noel widerberg, was an amazing singer, but like so many he has cut down in his prime, by a car accident, why doesnt some one make a movie about them , it would be absolutly awsome
I grew up in this era. I reckon that its funny when they go to sit down they have to pull their trouser legs up otherwise they would have split the knees on their stovepipe pants HELL THEY ARE MAGIC
Saturday, July 7, 1962. Corner of President Avenue & Grand Parade, Brighton-le-sands. Reportedly driving a VW. Funeral was on July 10 1962. First public performance with Col Loughnan as lead singer was at an Adelaide Twisterama show on August 10 1962.

Goes back a long time, considering Noel died very early in their fame, the new lead was good, just like Akka Dakkas

I have seen The Delltones in concert about six times so far and each time it has been an awesome experience, they are brilliant live.

The Lead singer in this was killed in a car crash,.
They also backed Johnny O' Keefe on vocals in the early days.
