I hate to say it but it just takes practice. Practice builds the hand and finger strength you need. Depending on the chord you can try using your 2nd finger to add pressure, also remember to use your entire finger to hit all 6 strings (if that is what the chord calls for). Also, nicer guitars are sometimes easier to play than cheap ones, you can also try checking your action (the distance between the string and the fret board).
