Like ya back to school was their labels song, not theirs, u could have mentioned the deftones' preferred version 'pink maggit' also on the album. And u called the entire album 'commercial'? Are u fuckin mental? Deftones have never went commericial and never will because the industry is incapable of marketing a band light years beyond any fan base. Thats what makes them so special and their music so unique

White Pony was the Album that Changed my Life ha ha. I loved that Lp. Saturday Night Wrist was also Fantastic...But Most Fans think that SNW sounds like Team Sleep which I don't believe. DEFTONES4life. oh yeah Chi get well soon bro!

I remember when this album came out, I was already a Deftones fan but this one blew me away. It is still their masterwork, the atmosphere the songwriting the performance everything was perfect on this album.

Deftones! One of my favorite bands as well. Adrenaline and Around The Fur are my albums of choice, White Pony is good though. Awesome review!

awesome album. yet another record we had in common as youths. the thing that really grabbed me about this album weren't the heavy songs that i loved from the deftones, it was the tracks like "digital bath" and "change". i remember around this time, stephan carpenter was talking about how he was getting into meshuggah, and you can actually hear that influence coming through in parts of "street carp" and "korea".  i mean, it's not really in your face with a bunch of breakdowns, but it's there.

White Pony is a great album from the Deftones. Yeah, I wasn't too fond of the extra song Back To School myself. I agree it kinda ruins the flow of the album. I used to have the original release myself, but traded it in. Which I'm still kicking myself to the day! LOL First opening song (the true opener) is a great song.

Yeah, it was pretty stupid to stick it right at the beginning of the album for no good reason. I would have just put it at the end as a bonus track.

Weird that the record company did that while the band disapproved. Fuckers.

Yeah, I hated that they did that didn't listen to the guys. That's record execs for for you. It's not that I don't like that song, but yeah they should have put it as hidden bonus track at the end like you said. That and the gray cover looks a hell of a lot better than the white one.

I love Deftones. I would say that White Pony is considered to be their greatest work however, I would say that Around The Fur is my favourite Deftones album of all time. Speaking of Around The Fur, do you actually own that album, Phil.
