  • God job!

  • need to work on third and fourth sections of the song, otherwise pretty good

  • this is smooth. this guy rules. hes got the song down.

  • How did you mount all that stuff onto the rack? Its tiny!

Also, did you buy the drum modules and cymbals separately with all necessary mounting hardware?

Finally, How did you get it all to fit in the sound module?

  • @plugit21 I started with the basic Roland TD-10 kit, which I believe was a 5 piece, with 2 cymbals and high hats. I then added a couple of cymbals and toms, along with a remote module that uses MIDI to link into the main module. With the added module, you are able to assign different sounds to the added cymbals and toms, just like you would with the standard module. Everything mounts up to the stock rack. Just had to tweak things here and there to make it work. Thanks for the questions!

  • i hav 2 learn it 4 band, thiz helped alot!

  • very very nice... best I have seen. I saw Steve Smith video discuss the left hand high-hat,and the progression of the cymbal rhythm. Thanks for teaching us all!

  • @jmc3720 Thank you ! I saw the Steve Smith Video as well after I had been trying to figure out the correct technique and patterns for playing this song on my own. I would like to go back and record it again... I think I have improved on it since recording this version.

  • preeetty damn good if u ask me :)

  • is it better to play with left hand on the hi-hat, rather than the righ on this song?

    Great playing and sound :D

  • @agaen96 It is correct to play the high hats on this song with your left hand

  • @scottyr1024 Thanks dude :P

  • What module do you use?

Oh, and maybe you could loosen the cymbals a little more, they are going to move like real ones then :)

    Very good cover!

  • @0Nolan Thanks for the compliments.... The main module I am using is a Roland TD-10 with an expansion module using the MIDI.

  • @scottyr1024 Oh okay, the sounds is great! I'm thinking of buying one but it's still so much money :(

    But your drumkit is awesome!

  • Thanks... I would look on Ebay...

  • BEASTLY man i loved it and jw where is a good place to get a good inexpincive set

  • Awesome job! I know this is one of the hardest songs to master using your left hand on the hats. Keep it up dude as I too am learning it and refining as I go. I really luv bugernets videos as they help me a lot. Cheers to you.....

  • Thanks a lot... I will have to check out Burgernets videos as well... I am always looking to learn from anyone, anywhere that I can.

  • Nicely done. Good job.

  • great job!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Nice job!!!! good sound quality.

And to:JoeLLAo4...Don't play this tune with ur right! use ur left so u can develop it!!!!

  • Thanks, I agree with you, It is best to play it the proper way and gain that control of being able to use the left hand. I am still working on it and I know it will help make me a more versatile drummer in the long run.

  • Good, don't take any short cuts u can't grow as a player! A lot of guy's don't listen! The adage "a true wise man has more questions than answers" This applies to all aspects in life, even drumming! there are a lot of skilled drummers, take advantage of their experience.

  • i'm only starting recently, will this work if i switch the hi-hat around and play it using my right hand

  • I use a remote high hat on my right side for some songs. It can get the job done, but when I originally started playing this song, I thought it was being played on a remote high hat, but I later figured out that it wasn't. When playing it on the remote hats, it caused me to miss some of the notes on the toms. For me, I just started practicing keeping time with my left hand on the high hat. I am still working on it. This song is a really good song to exercise the left hand for timing.

  • Thanks for the compliments ! I really enjoy playing this song. I have a hard time with my left hand playing the high hat, but I will keep working at it....

  • This is one of the best drum covers for this song I've seen. Great job Scotty!! One of my favs to play as well.

  • Thanks ! I can't speak for others, but the reason I didn't record it on my acoustic drums is because I don't have them mic'ed at this time. I plan to do some acoustic stuff as soon as I get a chance to get everything set up.

  • why does everybody use electric drum sets for this song? good drum cover
