  • this is the best rendition i have ever heard. brings goose bumps out. my headmaster at school taught us a song called ( to other shores across the sea) and it had the same tune. i tried to find it for years then came across the boys of wexford by chance which i like better. many thanks for posting this and bringing back happy memories.

  • @bdsnconnolly I first heard this song when the concert band in our jr. high played it in a concert a long time ago! Our choir teacher was also teaching band and he recorded us. This was probably in 1971, yeah a long time ago. In this performance, this song was titled as "March of the Irish Guard". I don't know how I remembered it, it was an instrumental version. I looked and looked for it on "You Tube", but couldn't find it for anything! It was probably because it was under
