In fairness $7 billion is only about $1 for everyone on the planet, they could probably pay themselves considerably more if it were their wont to do so. Plus a lot of a banker's bonus is in non-cash forms, so they may well depreciate, especially during a frenzied sell off (i.e. if they are gifted $5 billion, collectively, of GS stock and they all sell it immediately to cash out and spend it then they will lose some of it). It's not as simple as the proponents of the banker/citizen dichotomy say.

The 6 billion pounds is nothing compared to the endless stream of money from the FDIC.
