Thanks for posting. I was at this show. I forget the name of the bar, but it was a small place. I even bought a T-shirt which the band sold from the trunk of their car. I remember some heckler kept yelling "Elvis!" over and over between songs. The band finally shut him up by doing a wonderful version of "Suspicious Minds". Is there more film/tape from the show?
Sorry, but you got it backwards... Les played bass (and was lead vocals) and Bob was on guitar!!
They were one of my fave bands in the late 70's/early 80's and I saw them many, many times here in L.A.... from when they were called Bates Motel, to the Spires and then playing with Sparks...
Did your shirt have a map of the U.S. on it with penguins on the places they went? David Kendrick gave me a couple of those.
