im diabetic i would like to have a pancreas transplant but you have to take immune supressent drugs so your body wont regent the new pancreas how is the medication your taking so your body wont reject the new kidney/pancreas? any bad side affects? im 20 right now really not sure what to do i heard that type of medication is bad for long long term.

good job ivy i jus had a double kidney/pancreas transplant myself im 32 ...ive you should of shown or scare i luv to show mine off they used a chainsaw to open me up...lol...all i can say im glad its over with and can go on in life now...i jus wanted to add those who are waiting i know it sux ive been to hell and back and had all the diabetes systems myself but you will get your transplant

Ive had the same double transplant thanks to a great person who lost their life due to an accident. Its great your doing well but I dont hear any mention of the one most important person in your story..........THE DONOR.

Watching your video has made me feel a lot better. Im on CAPD dialysis and insulin which has become a way of life. I am waiting on a kidney & pancreas transplant. Although this can be a complicated procedure Im so pleased you have recovered very well. Your amazing and good luck for the future.

Starsign1981, Her option is death,,,,,and I think that is a dull option, unless you belive in the heaven mumbo jumbo opion etc. good luck to her.

I don't see why ppl think transplant is a great thing after they give you someones organ you have to take hundreds of pills everyday to survise because your own body is rejecting new organ.
