Well yes it was about money. But think about Kolzig. He spent his entire NHL career with the Caps, and all they do is play this new goalie. Kolzig has done so much for the Caps and the Washington community, I personally think its silly that the Caps didn't treat him with more respect. Boudreau isn't good with goalies. Well its okay that you think the Caps should have focused more on the playoffs than Olaf, but I personally think the Caps owed Kolzig something. And he is not an ''over the hill'' goalie. Well you can be certain that Boudreau will never baby his goalies, but you have to give Kolzig credit. He is (or was, depending on how you look at it) one of the best goalies in the NHL. The Caps wouldn't be losing money or sacrificing wins if they signed and played him again.
