  • Do any of the bass buttons repeat? Or does it just keep going higher?

  • why are there so many bass buttons? how can you keep track of all of those?

  • @plmko187187 Oh, u can! I have been playing for 5 now and I find it very easy.

    The playing I mean.

  • @plmko187187 well, they're all very consistently placed ;) The second row is the bass row. Those are arranged in fifths, that's why it's Eb, Bb, F, C, G, D A, E, and so on... the first row are the counterbasses and they're always a major third apart from the basses. C-E G-B F-A, etc. the 3rd row are major chords equivalent to the basses.. the 4th are minor, 5th are seventh and 6th are diminished. :) So it's really just a matter of memorizing the basses :)

  • Are piano notes are the same for the accordeon ?

  • @akakiki100 Yes thats why there is piano accordion instead of a chromatic accordion for those that learned the piano first.

  • @akakiki100 they're exactly the same :) although in most sheet music instead of a 3-note chord for piano, you have a single note an octave higher than the base for that chord, and above it's typed M, m, 7 or d. So it's even easier to read ^__^

  • mexicans are the best to play accordion!!!!!!!!!!!!!! y fierrrro a la vergaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @davi7716 you will never see a mexican play as good as this watch?v=8S67bzceyA0

  • can you show more bass crods?

  • Jestem fanem akordeonu .Kazdy prawie utwor wykonany na tym instrumencie podoba mi sie a szczegolnie muzyka tyrilska.

  • hy i liked your program , but lok fro aDVD teaching the combination the crodes with the melodie notes at the same time. DIDYOU have a DVD>? thankyou

  • Pff, amateur with spelling problems...

  • @Scandalli88 your a cock

  • alright, apparently I can't post any links. 'nexstosic', music is there to have fun and be creative. So don't say something you don't know, please. It's alright to encourage people to do whatever works best for them, and I know what works for me.

  • There are dozens of styles of accordion playing and there are no fixed rules as to which fingers to use on the bass, conventions yes, but not rules. It depends on the chordal structure of the piece and indeed the speed. You are right, nexsto is wrong.

  • the index finger is used for the two outside rows only

  • How do you figure that nexstosic? I use the middle finger all the time when playing.

  • omg i can tech hem and hes teacher how to play accordion and you can see ma videos

    Tomislav Latinkic!!!!

  • good vid, but you forgot to tell that if someone plays bass accords, must not use middle finger for any bass note. middle finger for bass notes can be used only if song have mostly bass notes than bass accords.

  • I beg to differ on that. There are no "must not" in pushing buttons. It all depends what shape your hands are and your range of movement.

Whatever works for you should be how you approach playing.

  • don't say something you don't know, please.

middle finger is used for dur accords ( on english, i think it's called major accords).

  • vaffamnculo

  • How do you know? You can't even spell "Accordion" correctly

  • I would rather not, I don't want to get herpes. :P

  • But he has got PATIENCE

That is a gift that a lot of teachers don't have.

Good teaching video for amateurs like me.

  • Thank you, it was very aducational for me,

    Wes

  • I dont use for C the middle finger in basic...can not be standard...

  • I went to Oktoberfest in campbell, california and i have a video of the Silicon valley Accordian society playing.i think you will like it.

  • What a load of rubbish - you shouldn't have your accordion at that angle!

  • NICE LESSON!! Thanks!

  • Might be free lesson but no point in learning to play badly, get a real teacher and if you can't , check out online lessons. This guy hasnt a clue about playing the accordion !!

  • I second that motion! Self taugh by the looks of things, wrong fingering on his bass hand.

  • he isn't expert

    he is very amauter

  • @MumboJumboTheatre Thats why this is free you selfish ingrate!

  • @MumboJumboTheatre guy needs to make money dude

  • These lessons are directed to those of us who haven't heard this before, and I appreciate it.

  • Maybe you should rethink what you just said.

Expert Village profits off of these tutorials, as you can see by the advertisement on the right.

They post videos regardless if they are accurate and helpful, just so they can make money.

I'm not necessarily saying this tutorial is bad, but the majority of expert village videos are absolute garbage.

  • i likedplease keep doingthankyou

  • FUCK. Since when are there actually commercials before videos on youtube. Total bullshit.

  • watch?v=Tli4nSO4hIA

type this one to see the best players on the world

    Bane Vasic kolo Sinobus

  • Bane Vasic kolo Sinobus is not a musician but a Robot. Music is something different and you can have a taste of it watching musicians like this Sivuca or Galliano Richard.

    Enjoi

  • no man,u are wrong.

ballkans music is most tastly on the world.that's the place the melody music was born.i sugest start meeting on.

  • you better need to be teached

  • he should play "tragos amargos"

  • nice video, but you should take care of the position of the instrument on your lap. the keysboard should be nearly in touch with your chin, not your belt.

    take it from a professional...

  • Thank you this helped!

  • play a corrdio jajaja

  • :)))))))))

  • What if I'm playing upside-down? There's no sky in the ground.

  • I am exactly at this point in my lessons.

I was given from my aunt, a superb settimio soprani, over 50 years old, 13 registers, wow! She was a professional musician,

  • I learned to do it.

  • Up to the Sky......I use up towards your chin, but if 'up to the sky' works then you have achieved your aim...I would also be inclined to mention the fact that instead of a 'rhinestone' sometimes the C bass button has an indent. Well done anyway.

  • I own a "Castelli" accordion. There are only 12 bass keys. I fiddle with them but still struggle, i'm slowly progressing. Could someone help me out with what "key" my accordian might be? I have very little knowledge about these sometimes obnoxious but beautiful instruments.

  • f0xiek has a hermaphrodite fetish.

  • Extremly patranising, also nobody would begin learning on a 120 bass accordion it is far too heavy and awkward. C, F and G may be very important but by no means should you ancor yourslef to these notes alone as implied in the video. This is where you can tell if a player is really crap and boring. try living it up a bit use counterbasses, chords, minors ect. I've been playing the accordion for over 8 years and I play on a 96 bass...

  • . This makes it ideal and you never need any bigger, you can always create chords by combining different basses.

"Up to the sky" Hahaha! sorry mate.

  • yeah, "up to the sky" is such a ridiculous thing to say. i cracked up in disbelief when he said that to explain where the fifth was. JEEZ! hahahahahaha!

  • found a 60 year old 120 in my attic...first time ever playing an accordion, but it's not that hard to learn.

  • hey man, can you do lessons on a button accordion? i'm trying to learn but on a button one rather than keyboard. thnx in advance whether you do or not.

  • It's difficult to find people in the US who play chromaitc button accordion. There are a couple of systems (at least 3 that I know of) B-griff used in Russia, Finland and for classical music and C-system used in Europe, Canada, and the US for popular music. There is little difference between them, but playing between them takes a few hours of familiarizatoin. Look in neighborhoods where there are a lot of russians for b system, and french german or other Euro immigrants for C system.

  • look this video: "Oswaldinho do acordeon"

  • somebody where can i buy an accordion in azusa california or any city close to azusa

    thanks

  • That's 120 bass, no begginer could handle that

  • I've been playing for about 3 months -- I started with an 80-bass and just bought a 120-bass. I think it would be harder to start small and work up. It was very easy to ignore the bass buttons I didn't need, and now I have a better feel for my 7th and diminished chords.

You wouldn't start a beginning piano student on a one-octave piano, right? The instrument is what it is, and it just adds extra steps (and cost) if you try to work a student up from a limited instrument to a fully enabled one.

  • O shit ima starting with a 120...

    Balls.. XD

  • These have a similar sound.

  • that is an amazing amount of notes :S

  • Well after reading all the comments I am more confused about lwheter to learn or not from this generous man. mmm ..now where do I go?

  • where can i get a second hand one?

  • LlUCKY ME!! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOME LESSON BUT I CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY FOR THEM...SO THANKS A LOT!!! YOU ARE SO GENEROUS!

  • i want an accordion so bad

  • Start out with a 12 bass accordion. That is what I began to learn accordion on. They are available on Ebay (new) for probably more than you want to spend because once you learn the basics, you will want to move up to a bigger accordion so you could try some second hand discount stores. I found some there very cheap. Some music stores will sell used accordions and you could get a 48 bass for approximately $75 or less. Fran

  • i have been playin it for 8 months and it is super easy

  • whats easier to play the piano or the button one?

  • If you can play piano already, piano accordion is easier.

  • Does the piano accordion sound any different than the button one?

  • RUBBISH! If you play iano already you should not learn a piano accordion, try a chromatic

  • i got mine for free from some random romanian guy

  • 5 stars!

  • I don't mind if mine goes :]

  • for the people that like cumbias there is Celso Piña too jajaja.

  • IMO that system of fingering is inferior to the 4-3 system and is not a good way to learn - ultimately this system leads to excessive wrist motion and possible wrist problems though many people use it. The alternate system uses 4-3-2-3 for major chords and 4-2-3-2 for minor and dim chords and is much more elegant and efficient. ( root -chord - fifth - chord). It's hard to change systems later so beginners ought to learn the better system from the start.

  • Very true, I started learning the 3-2 method for years before a fellow player told me I screwed up. Actually an easy way to change it to play it for like an hour straight twice using 4-3 you get used to it.

  • Can either of you guys point me in the right direction? I don't know what the "4-3" or "4-3-2-3" systems are, but from what you're saying this guy is teaching bad form and I'm not keen on learning how to play improperly.

I'm picking up Accordion as my second instrument and I know all about BAD HABITS and how difficult it is to unlearn them later on in life.

I want to learn properly from the start, and before you ask, yes I am looking for a teacher in my area. :)

    Also, piano or button?

  • Ok this is for the piano accordion. With you left hand number the fingers starting with your thumb from 1-5. 1 as your thumb and 5 as your pinky finger. When you play the left hand side you want to used #4(next to pinky) to play the chord and the middle finger(#3) to play the major chord. Minor and 7th chords are played with the pointer(#2). That is how the 4-3 method works. If you want I can make a video showing this to you. What part of the world are you located in?

  • i have an accordion that is almost 50 years old. still works perfectly. is there a segnificant difference bettween mine and his. mine has little dips on some of them and... well its hard!

  • The C, E, and Aflat buttons should have dips so that you can see where you are. My C has a dip. Theres no difference as far as sound or anything. My E and Af have really small dots on them that I can feel. It may have a dip because the stone fell out of it.

  • Hey Zac, thanks for the quick explanation. I am in The Netherlands right now, I'll be in Israel for the next 6-8 months.

  • Sounds fun

  • do they need changing up

  • fiumegirl... it`s importatnt to know how many basses do you have.. you can have 60, 72, 80, 96 or 120 basses... but if you`re writting that your accordion is smaller i think that you have 60 basses....

  • this is a moust biggest accordian i ever saw my accordian is sooo small : :p

  • thats a regular full sized accordion, I got one just like it, for $300 USD

  • Try GUERRINI or DALLAPE...are the best accordion in the world...see at Google...

  • Or Scandalli :)

  • It's due to the fact he has 120 basses, prehaps you have less.

  • omg my accordian doenst look like taha

  • Hello... I can see a lot of people are saying this guy is not teaching correctly! Can anyone recommend a video tutorial of piano accordion, i am just starting to play... thank you

  • I agree with the instrument position. It is shifted too far to the player's right.

.... be nice though about the other stuff!

  • He is holding the accordion wrong low F should be about a inch from the right shoulder not under the arm pit, Also 4-3 is the right way for the basses, He also did not make reference to the counter basses, ALso most good players will have a rinestone to mark E&A flat, I wonder if this guy teaches at a accordion school??? Heaven help his students.
