@spikemom2003. I have only crocheted a test dc square using the two yarns I described earlier with an H (5 mm) hook. I don't feel it is bulky at all, and it is very soft. I am working up an afghan using this pattern and Bernat Waverly yarn to match my daughter's RV, so the baby afghan is on hold. Good luck, and post an update If the two yarns work for you.
@spikemom2003. I too am finding it difficult to work with the Bernat yarn. I am now trying adding a strand of Caron Simply Soft, and I think it's a bit better. I have used the same Bernat yarn for knitting, and it was easier! Good luck to us both!
@haylinmilsam please let me know how it turns out with the extra strand. I thought about adding a strand of a light/sport weight, but was unsure if it would bulk the blanket up, as I am attempting to make a baby blanket. I would love to know how yours ends up and see a pic if possible. Thanks
I am having trouble using the Bernat baby coordinates yarn. It is beautiful, but very hard to see the stitches. They all seem to run together because of the shiny strand wound in the yarn. Am I crazy or is this happening to anyone else also?
I am having to same problem when coming to the end. I end up at the top of my chain 3, is that where I need to do the double crochet. Then do the 3 chain up again? Please help, I don't want to do it wrong.
@skmiedema99 When you come to the end of your row you chain up 3 then in the same stitch under it make a dbl crochet to make two stitches together and then carry on with the pattern :) does that help?? Cathy@The Crochet Crowd Helpdesk :)
I'm having trouble with the ends. After I do the three dbl crochets I have to do one set of two dbl crochets in the last stitch. But...the only stitch left is the chain 3......do I dbl crochet in the top of the ch 3???????? I'm so confused because it is not explained on this video. Please help
WOOHOOO! I had to rip mine starting row about 4 times before I finally got the downward part of the wave... I don't know what my mental block was, but THANK HEAVENS for this video!! I think I finally have it! Well, I have the starting row... heaven only knows how many times I'll have to rip back the next one! LOL! Thanks, Mikey, for all of the great videos!!!
Thank you so very much for sharing yourself with the world. You are an amazing teacher and I have learned so much from watching your tutorials. You have such a relaxing, natural way of simplifying the art... which is great! I am currently making this pattern with a multi-colored yarn of fall like colors and it is so beautiful.
Once again Thank You. I Appreciate You Greatly...indeed! :)
Thanks Mikey, I think I prefer this wave compared to the earlier tutorial you did. I don't have to think as hard on this one.It is a beautiful pattern for a baby blanket. Will have to try this one.

One other thing that I just noticed is that on the video, we add 3 for the 1st double crochet; on the written version, we only add 2.
