I have the Company vocal book released after the revival and AHP is in this key. It's to my understanding that that's considered the definitive version now but I could be wrong.

I think both Angel and Pamela take on very different interpretations and I love them both equally. This is my favorite song from Company by far. <3

Singing Sondheim is a challenge. Understanding what he wrote is just as much a challenge. And as far as I'm concerned this vocally pretty good. But I don't actually feel that it's understood. Probably another director who gave the vocalist the wrong instructions. But then again; who am I? Vocally this is pretty good.

i really loved her in this part, and yeah they did lower the key because she is a belter. Its just a sign of the times because a voice like pamela myers (which i love) now just doesn't translate to todays audiences as a free spirit. i think theyre both great.
