come on now, im a greensboro native and i still see no mentions of Club Zero! Groove-E, DJ De La Rosa, Mike Soden, it was a good time in the boro! R.I.P. to Markee, and any other club kid that is no longer with us!
Wow this is crazy I remember that a lot of the raves were at a old abandoned fire station called "The Miracle House" . Then there were some "illegal raves" in an abandoned apartment complex. Another thing I remember was the best raves were by a black dude called "Paris" He had a ton of themed raves back in 90's. Awesome scene back then.
I used to go to the Greensboro raves in the early 90's. Nothing now can compare to those parties! I remember the Trim Shop parties in this warehouse downtown. They were crazy and the music was phenomenal. Great memories...
Club Babylon In greensboro was the BEST 1998. "together Again" by Janet Jackson was the first song I heard in the club. I was just coming out and everything was so fresh and NEW.. I loved IT..I live in NYC and I have yet to go to a Gay club that could compete with the BABYLON.. What an amazing place it was....
Oh lord, talk about a shot back to the past! I can't believe that we did all this in NC! And to think this is only talking about Greensboro (remembering Mythos in Charlotte, the Palace in Durham, random joints in Raleigh and definitely the Millennium in Winston!) I miss those days (good times!)
what memories the first friday parties babylon was one of the places some of my greatest memories spawn from. seen some awsome dj's there 187 at heartbeat valentines party 1999 or ak1200 spinning drowning upstairs or mistykiss rockin hard tribal downstairs.29 now and miss those days more than any other i have passed. lets go back---way back---back in time
omg, terrorize - just a feeling at 6:40 !! I can't believe people used to party like this in greensboro! young UNC student right here, most the raves you get here are just terrible mocks with a keg and sandstorm on repeat! man i wish i didnt fuckin miss out on the 90's what a cool decade
It was an unexpected flashback to see. I spent many nights and mornings those 2 & others. I went with a big group that I was very close with and stayed in Ed's family's cabin in the mountains for a house party once. I made some of best and favorite friends back then.
Aaaaw! Ed and John @ Schoolkids! I can't believe I found this? Who made this? Ha! They should've been asking Malice, Robbie Best (that crew!) Glad I was there.
Oh man ! What can I say ? Ed is fucking gone .
