Don't cut your hair, keep working with it. It looks healthy, but you should spritz it with the leave in conditioner to make it more hydrated between washings. Just a suggestion, but it looks really nice on you.

Your hair texture is exactly like mine. I can relate with the shrinkage and feeling like your hair is taking forever to grow. I am also not doing wash and gos right now at my length because of the shrinkage and is doing a lot of twist outs or it would like a big chop all over again. dont trim your hair unless you have split ends. if you dont have any there is no reason to trim anything. you can go months even years without trimming if there is no breakage.

It's 2 Tablespoons of whatever leave in conditioner you want to use, 2 Tablespoons of Aloe Vera Juice, 2 Teaspoons of jojoba oil, and 2 Teaspoons of Castor Oil. I bought my jojoba oil and aloe vera juice from iherb.com.
Love your hair. Just used the leave in today on my daughers hair for the first time. She has 4b/c hair. Very thick, tangles easily. Detangling her hair today was the EASIEST it has ever been. I use the shea yogurt parfait and then apply the eco styler olive oil gel and it keeps my hair moisturized all day...give it a try!!
I wish I could do a twist out, my hair is very soft and I can't get a twist out. My hair is about the same length as yours, but I am frustrated that I can't get it to work for me.
I find that if I use an oil on my hair before I use the eco styler gel; it does not dry out my hair. I like to use castor oil and then the eco styler gel.

Okay I watched this yesterday and had to try it..lol! I tweaked it a little.. The conditioner I used was pantene and I used a mixture of oils.. almond, jojoba, carrot, castor..... Oh and I have an aloe plant (DO NOT ASK) so I used that. my hair is fuzzy and dries out fast... this was great... That's for the tip

Don't trim. Learning to keep those ends sealed is a skill that must be learned and trimming won't solve the problem. Your hair is gorgeous and has a beautiful texture. It is fierce at any length and of course your makeup is on point.

i had the same issue when i was at your stage. i still pin my sides up to this day because it bothers me as well. but be strong. once you get a regimen down pack you will forget after a while that your growing your hair out! Good luck! I love kimmaytubes leave in too!!

@pamlatham629 I use a satin bonnet at night...after the second or third day, I retwist at night to add more definition and stretch. It last about a week before I co-wash and retwist from scratch. As it gets longer, I'm sure it will last much longer.
I feel the same way... Its like after the first 4 months or so the enthusiasm went from a 10 to like a 3 or so.. so now i just do sew-ins and wear my out wen i take down the braids. My hair is extremely thick and kinky and just hard to work with even when its moisturized so I just try to ignore it until it gets to where I want it to be.. But the whole time watching the vid I was just like "mhmm", "yup", "i feel you"..lol
It turned out very cute and the makeup is flawless! I have tried that leave in conditioner mixture from KimmayTube also and it really does a great job moisturizing your hair.
Your hair looks great. I believe I have a similar texture and I don't do wash and go's either. It does not provide enough definition. I need to purchase the aloe vera juice/gel so I can get back to doing Kimmaytubes leave in. I recall good results as well. Naptural85 has some DIY leave in recipes on her channel that look good but I have not tried it myself yet. Keep up the good work. When you hair grows out coupled with that face/makeup you will be too cold.
I have the exact same hair texture and what's worked for me is the Miss Jessies stretch silkening creme a small amount of cold pressed castor oil and a ittle fantasia IC gel...amazing AND the style trasnistions well too...
Beautiful! My grandmother keeps aloe vera plants in her home so I use the gel/juice from the actual leaf. My hair is very similar to yours in texture and in length and it's only been roughly 6 months for me since I bc'd in late October. I was anxious about growth too so in addition to biotin supps.,(I have always taken them, even when I was relaxed) I started taking Cod liver oil supps., and pre-natal vitamins and my hair is growing crazy fast and it's a lot thicker. Castor oil helps too.

First of all I will say that twist out looks absolutely divine on you and yes Kimmaytubes leave- in is the bomb my ends were no longer puffy they sealed and my hair looked fake it was so shiny and new lol if that sounds right! My twist outs are so defined. Also I've been using the aloe juice but I've read that the gel is more pure than the juice so I'll have to purchase that next time. P.s your hair is beautiful

Great results! yes, I love this conditioner. I made few substitutes, using what I had. Carol's Daughter Lisa's Hair Elixir for the jojoba ol and V05 Moisture Milks Strawberries & Cream for the Knot Today. Yes, I totally agree about wash-n-go on "our" hair type (we have similar) and length. I'm not feeling mine, yet. My hair is super thick and short. I get tired when twisting it. LOL! Half wigs for now until I get my style like I want it.

I had to stop using eco styler gel and similar gels, my hair texture is similar to yours and it is also naturally "fuzzy" and the gels were very drying to my hair. You may also want to try Oyin Handmade- I use the shine and define (and other products) as a styling/holding agent and it works great and is moisturizing. Also I have color on one section of my hair and ends in that section are "cottony" as well. I trimmed some of it but I will just allow my color to grow out and gradually trim.

For your ends dampen and seal then open a bobbypin and wrap your ends around one edge then close the bobbypin ...take out when dry.

Don't trim. Learning to keep those ends sealed is a skill that must be learned and trimming won't solve the problem. Your hair is gorgeous and has a beautiful texture. It is fierce at any length and of course your makeup is on point.

i had the same issue when i was at your stage. i still pin my sides up to this day because it bothers me as well. but be strong. once you get a regimen down pack you will forget after a while that your growing your hair out! Good luck! I love kimmaytubes leave in too!!

@pamlatham629 I use a satin bonnet at night...after the second or third day, I retwist at night to add more definition and stretch. It last about a week before I co-wash and retwist from scratch. As it gets longer, I'm sure it will last much longer.

I feel the same way... Its like after the first 4 months or so the enthusiasm went from a 10 to like a 3 or so.. so now i just do sew-ins and wear my out wen i take down the braids. My hair is extremely thick and kinky and just hard to work with even when its moisturized so I just try to ignore it until it gets to where I want it to be.. But the whole time watching the vid I was just like "mhmm", "yup", "i feel you"..lol

Your hair looks great. I believe I have a similar texture and I don't do wash and go's either. It does not provide enough definition. I need to purchase the aloe vera juice/gel so I can get back to doing Kimmaytubes leave in. I recall good results as well. Naptural85 has some DIY leave in recipes on her channel that look good but I have not tried it myself yet. Keep up the good work. When you hair grows out coupled with that face/makeup you will be too cold.

I have the exact same hair texture and what's worked for me is the Miss Jessies stretch silkening creme a small amount of cold pressed castor oil and a ittle fantasia IC gel...amazing AND the style trasnistions well too...

Beautiful! My grandmother keeps aloe vera plants in her home so I use the gel/juice from the actual leaf. My hair is very similar to yours in texture and in length and it's only been roughly 6 months for me since I bc'd in late October. I was anxious about growth too so in addition to biotin supps.,(I have always taken them, even when I was relaxed) I started taking Cod liver oil supps., and pre-natal vitamins and my hair is growing crazy fast and it's a lot thicker. Castor oil helps too.

First of all I will say that twist out looks absolutely divine on you and yes Kimmaytubes leave- in is the bomb my ends were no longer puffy they sealed and my hair looked fake it was so shiny and new lol if that sounds right! My twist outs are so defined. Also I've been using the aloe juice but I've read that the gel is more pure than the juice so I'll have to purchase that next time. P.s your hair is beautiful

Great results! yes, I love this conditioner. I made few substitutes, using what I had. Carol's Daughter Lisa's Hair Elixir for the jojoba ol and V05 Moisture Milks Strawberries & Cream for the Knot Today. Yes, I totally agree about wash-n-go on "our" hair type (we have similar) and length. I'm not feeling mine, yet. My hair is super thick and short. I get tired when twisting it. LOL! Half wigs for now until I get my style like I want it.

Also you dont see your hair growing, but when the video started the first thing that popped in my head was "dang her hair is growing fast!" lol

I think Ill try the kimmaytube leave in this thrusday. I think the wigs look great on u too. I tried to rock a wig twice, once in the winter and the other a few weeks ao, but it was waaay to hot for my liking. Your video's are great keep doing what you do.

I had to stop using eco styler gel and similar gels, my hair texture is similar to yours and it is also naturally "fuzzy" and the gels were very drying to my hair. You may also want to try Oyin Handmade- I use the shine and define (and other products) as a styling/holding agent and it works great and is moisturizing. Also I have color on one section of my hair and ends in that section are "cottony" as well. I trimmed some of it but I will just allow my color to grow out and gradually trim.
