  • tą gitarę rozpoznam spośród setek innych, jedyna, niepowtarzalna, wspaniała!!!

  • Piękna solówka, aż chce sie płakać: klimat, wspomnienie szkolnych lat kiedy tego słuchaliśmy.

  • Instead of 'No description available.' it should say 'No description necessary.'

  • the page froze and the music kept playing ....... thats just how epic it is

  • This is quite simply the most exquisite piece of music ever produced

  • is the drummer simon philleppes ?

  • this is MUSIC!! love it

  • Is that Leo Kottke on the Lead Guitar?

  • Even better than Stairway to heaven!

  • @slashrm90 Fuck STH. Gilmour RULES

  • @slashrm90 no

  • Do you know what a " solo ' is ? It means , only ONE musician is playing , or singing . Not the whole band playing .

  • @warchief65

Wrong. Playing solo means without other band members. Playing a solo or soloing means a featured instrumental performance.

  • Happy BD ~

  • check out slightly stoopid some killer groovy vibes with a change musical styles

  • There are still some bands who are great, just they are hard to find

  • to the people that are running the music industry thanks a fucking bunch u twats all you care about is money!!!!!! you have ruined it!

  • @ knoxrox167 Thank you for the suggesting bands that I can look into. It takes so much time to sort thru Don't Like's to find the Like's that I don't bother looking. I also appologize to those that I struck a sore nerve. 'nuf said. I live in city that is poor in its radio. Rich in developing art scene, restaurants, and small concert halls, and lacking in college, alternative, or pirate radio. Radio will eventually catch up in Indianapolis. Peace to all.

  • What's someones hair got to do with good music ya twat!

  • If only he'd have known then....that has twat son was going to jump all over the cenotaph.

  • Dear LYoder3 and matseman46q I'd like to shake yr hands.

  • David sold out when he cut his hair. Then I stopped listening to him.

  • What ? what ? is it God talking to me ??? DG was here...

  • i wanna see the full song with this piece of gold!!!

  • PINK FLOYD LIVE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @merolo12 He's Simon Philips, one of the best drummer in the world. This is his style, there aren't mistake at 0:56, his fill in it's perfect, it could't sound good for you, but nothing it's wrong.

  • @smilzomagro ok, but I felt a thing like a song's end, and is not perfect for Gimour's solos! In fact, this is the first time I've see this drummer. Why?!

  • @merolo12 probably because you're not used to listening to drummers like him, especially in a piece of Pink Floyd. The fact that you have never heard it before does not mean anything, a musician is not a star, but I can assure you, because I play drums for 20 years, he is absolutely one of the best.

  • KEVIN BLOODY WILSON - LOOK IT UP.. GOOD FUNNY AUSSIE BLOKE

  • SHIT SHIT SHIT

GILMORE IS WORTH BETTER THAN POSTING LOOSE SHIT LIKE THIS...

alex if tyhis is bghod yo you you probly root caMELS BUDDY, TBHIS IS SHIT GILMORE

IN FACT I WOULD SAY ITS THE WORST GILMORE THAT COULD BE DONE FROMA GILMORE FAGGOT COVER BAND, BUT I BET YOU WOULD STILL SAY "I'M THE LEADER OF THAT BAND MAN" HAHAHA

ALEX GO TO THE SHOP N STEAL SOME MANILOW DUDE AND STOP- KIDDIN YA SELF BRO

    YA TASTE IS SHITE

  • Bull Shit that was very average for gilmore in fact it was 4th grade shit.

his younger shit was the best not when he was a grandpa rollin for cash

agatre fucked if yas think this is good gilmer cause it aint tosers

  • I can't believe he overplayed it. So not a good playing style.

  • God doesn't even have to try to out play him. God created everything including Gilmour's boring approach.

  • This is truely the greatest guitar solo of all time,,,,,unless you can tell me otherwise?

  • WTF!! UNBELIEVABLE!

  • I don't agree James, I would say that God has everything to do with it! It's not called a God given Talent for nothing. But, if you don't believe in God...then that's cool! Yes Clapton, Knopfler, Hendrix, Gary Moore, Brain May, Rod Price...I love it all as well!! :)

  • YES, YES , YES,............

  • Nicely put......... Music is gone down hill !!

  • Floyd is one of the greats and Gilmore is a treasure for all time. I have been a huge fan since the late 60's. He is a genuis.

  • it dosent get anny better

  • Well...I wouldn't say that I just saw GOD playing the guitar. What I did see was a very talented David Gilmour playing one of the best guitar solo's I have heard! The man is exquisitely talented...and GOD really doesn't make them like that any longer! I keep praying for another Hendrix, Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher. I haven't seen one or heard one yet....so I'll just keep on praying!!

  • @lapinemike Don,t forget Clapton or Knopfler , Love this stuff, God,s got nothing to do with it, Pray all you like.

  • He plays it quite boring sometimes. I thought I'd found a couple of covers that were better than the original.....then I found this. The king regains his crown. That drummer's blistering as well.

  • 'streching' some strings' eh? Just pull my gutts out! This is beyond awesome!

  • @Usia55

  • yep, you have see that

  • Are ya kidding me?

  • Which concert was this?

  • Satan tried to sell his own soul to God to be able to play this solo and God said, "Shoot, I cant even play it myself. Just shut up and listen".

  • That is so slack.... Who sent this link to the 4 Justin Bieber fans???? No wonder they disliked it, they've never heard REAL music before. It must've hurt their under developed ears. Poor losers!!!!!

  • The guitar died later that evening.... R.I.P Guitar

  • Lovin the Montana 'Niners jersey.

  • is that a charvel?

  • Bohhhh

  • Those where the days! When musicians actually could play!!! I take comfort to that i´m not gonna live forever. Go listen to Justin b or the babelin rap-shit!! Makes me puke....

  • @matseman46

Amen to that brother. They don't make music like this any more. After all these years it still sends shivers down my spine. Respect!

  • No description available

  • Todays bands have no creativity, no growth in music experimentation and knowledge. Todays bands are simple chords, simple lyrics, simple musical themes. The greatest bands are from 30, 40 years ago. Its sad what the music industry has done to itself, and it artists chasing the the smash hit, and quick profit.

  • @LYoder3 Dang, I'm sorry you are missing out then. You gotta do a little searching is all. The mainstream won't give you what you are looking for.

  • @LYoder3 Well said my music friend <3

  • @LYoder3 I agree, but interesting things are still happening in the electronic scene. Plenty of originality there.

  • @LYoder3 Very true indeed,Its a shame !

  • @LYoder3 there are absolutely bands today just as good as any in history. arcade fire, sigur ros, dispatch, radiohead, fleet foxes, etc, are all hugely innovative, creative, and influential with musicians just as good as any in the last 60 years.

if you pay attention to the top 40, of course you're not going to find anything worthwhile.

  • @LYoder3 I don't think it's the bands that are the problem, I think it's recording on computers. As much as they have enhanced are lives, computers are diminishing the quality of music by their very nature.

  • @LYoder3 THAT is not true at all.... I agree Pink Floyd being one of the finest bands ever, however, there are still other good bands coming out nowadays, coming up with nice creative output aswell, it is just hidden, because it is not favoured by the music industry, but it's there... Not to mention the growing amount of people becoming ever better instrumentalists! Good music will return and even in mainstream, you find a gem every here and there, so look ahead into a BRIGHT FUTURE, not back!

  • @RitchieDiamond Floyd are no.1 but well said and so true ;-)

  • @RitchieDiamond but u cant forget the past! especially legends like pink floyd

  • @sharan696 Well, I don't :P Believe me, Pink Floyd is my favorite Band, lately I listened to outrageous amounts of albums, but what I meant is like when I sometimes browse YT, I discover talents everywhere... And looking at myself, I'm a fanatic guitarist and one of these days, I will have my own Prog band :) I was just disagreeing that today's music is total crap, because it isn't...

  • @RitchieDiamond There is always room for improvement. Nevertheless, there will also always be maestros....perfectionists of their art if you will.....and David Gilmour is well practiced and I believe has certainly mastered his art. Doubtless others will join him in the Pantheon of Greats, but to still have a musical influence after nearly 50 years is very rare in these modern times of fickle youth. More to say but not enough characters to say it with...anyway nuff said Mr gilmour 1 o the greats

  • @LYoder3 Simple music for simple people.

  • @LYoder3 that's exactly what people said 40 years ago

  • @LYoder3 by the way there are bands like opeth, porcupine tree, tool, orphaned land they are awesome ..they are inspired by the bands of 70s and 80s...do hear them.. :)

  • @LYoder3 I so much agree

  • @LYoder3

    Well said.

  • @LYoder3 the rock and metal scene are kind of dead now at days... but the indie scene with the arctic monkeys or the white stripes, they are very experimental. it's sad that metalcore bands and shit are destroying the metal scene. they all sound the same and they are more famous than great bands like in flames or those indie bands i called befor.

  • Worst drum brake ever 0:56

  • Wow. First I heard this one. I thought the live 8 was impressive but this is different and phenominal.

  • I thought I played guitar pretty well, but this... this proved me wrong :(

  • id give my left testicle to play a guitar like that!

  • @ChopperRead -How about your right testicle?

  • Best drumming this track ever had too. SiPhi

  • @harnois75 jezus- this is the same exact thing I was thinking too.. hell yes. bring the big half time beat with the false ending at the beginning- ride the crash after the fill. YESSSSSS

  • chills

  • A master piece!

  • I would like the "fondamentals" were played with another guitar in low octave

  • Loved you in the 70's, and I still love you. Thank you for all these years you guys kept me young.Missed the ones that left us...rock on guys in heaven. love from Abadan, Iran.

  • This is the soundtrack to our life! David simply is a magician.

  • His solo on this song from Pulse tour was absolutely magical

  • RIDICULOUS

  • @rkinrllr really?!?

  • I think his playing on Earls court is better but still, he's the fuckin man, no one can touch him. Clapton seems like nothing compared to this guy imo

  • Forever and ever!

  • Best guitar solo ever ? .... I don't know but one of the best for sure !

  • MY GOD

  • @LizyPage ouais mon dieu ! de la guitard

  • Sorry, I misclicked and disliked it :/

  • @Chmeda

There is no problem our friend :) Sure!

Just go and CUT your fingers... All of them

  • @eftaxiaskostas hahaha ,P

  • @Chmeda you can change your opinion by clicking on the "like" button =)

  • Yep first time I have seen this clip and I agree DG at his finest ...beautiful ++

  • shit, chills. this is unbelievable.

  • goldfinger's playing the guitar !

  • PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!

  • Now flip over and check out Confortably Numb at Knebworth Live 1990. They closed out the concert with Gilmour playing this solo in pouring rain, You see the rain hitting the guitar while he just makes the guitar scream. Not going to argue which solo is better, think we all agree that this is the finest guitar solo ever no matter where and when it is played.

  • There is not anyone who can 'stretch some strings' like Mr Gilmour, I saw his play Comfortably Numb on top of The Wall at Earls Court, that is something I will never, ever, forget. Just brilliant, the man is a genius.

  • Comment removed

  • ..and in the 7th day, God teached Gilmour how to play guitar

  • @eftaxiaskostas

Don't you mean 'On the 7th day Gilmour taught God how to play guitar?

  • @alex75ok God can't play that good......

  • Yes siree,He 's second to none...The greatest ever...

  • you"re the best

  • Oh yeah - the incomparable Simon Philips on drums!

  • I love watching this man "make love to his guitar"

  • so! is he playing a composition, or is he making it up as he goes along, and it becomes what we know and love?

  • when/where was this concert?

  • @rclobo1980 Yep, the comment below is correct - Colombian Volcano Disaster benefit concert at the Royal Albert Hall, 9th Feb 86, Simon Phillips on drums, Chucho Merchan (who organised the concert) on bass, Jody Linscott on percussion, Rabbit (John Bundrick) on keys and Mick Ralphs on 2nd guitar. I was the stage manager. Dave's beautiful playing brought tears to my eyes on the night and to this day still does.

  • which ones Pink?

  • @jcolexxxxx John 3:16. Ha,Ha!

  • my ears bleed, for the voice of God spoke from within the strings of Gilmour's solo!

  • GENIO!!!

  • Comment removed

  • holy fuvk how does he do that shit

  • even justin bieber impressed by his solo and he didnt desliked xD :P

P.S sorry for mentioning his name in a pink floyd song :(

  • @Thunder3251 You should be

  • Fat Old Dave

  • Yes we are witnessing God speaking,ol' buddy! You hit it right on...

  • Comfortably Numb - Best piece of Music Ever!

  • the best of the best always ......... It is the only artist that I never get tired of listening to (including Pink Floyd)

  • favorite Gilmor quote - "awh, just stretchin' some strings"

  • @phishfearme2 I love english sarcasm :D

  • Carajo con simon philipssss !!

  • Two throw in my two cents to the 'what guitar' debate. I believe it's a Charvel (You can just make out the Charvel logo at 1:16). This style of single humbucker non floyd guitar was common from Charvel in the 70s / early 80s and were of impeccable quality. It's a very very nice guitar.

  • Big Dave in top form. I wish I'd been at this gig. Oh well...time for another spliff! Thank's for posting.

  • It is powerful !

  • me hubiese gustado haber nacido aqui y en la epoca en que el tocaba, para ver a este angel......es lo mejor que he escuchado......

  • Above you can read "there is no description". Well what can you say? :)

  • that was good :)

  • What concert is it ?

  • Well there goes my face.

  • GILMOUR !!!

  • sad thing is David can play better then this, but hes to scared cause he knows god would strike him down over jealously

  • The best version of this solo, is the onde from "Delicates Sounds od Thunder"... Lightyears from this version

  • Thanks God, I have lived the best times.....what a rubbish cold senseless music we are having now adays ....with my all respect for the new generation!!!

  • @ziaddoth you're talking about modern day pop music. there is still good music made under the radar, you just need to look for it

  • @SkyValleySpaceCadet : I like the way u thinking, positive, for certain extend I agree, but back in 80's 90's the album to just being classified as a hit all the tracks (10 or so) each one of them must be a HIT!!!! while nowadays u should really look hard to find a track which might come along with u!!! The commercial way of thinking has killed the singer creativity, they produce mix cocktail of songs so they can grap all customers!!! thanks for the Discussion though.

  • im surprised he is playing a guitar without a neck and middle pickup

  • I'd hav to say my favorite Gilmour solo is Echoes LIve at Pompeii.

But I can't argue if you think this one is the greatest!

  • Who s the drummer

  • @davulcu64st Simon Phillips...an incredible impresario and the de-facto studio master...

  • @davulcu64st Simon Philips.

  • ewww, the bass player is playing a headless Steinberger.

  • Grande momento de inspiração.

Felizes os que puderam assistir ao vivo.

  • is this simon phillips on drums ?!

  • Wow!

  • απλα τελειο .Αγγελος Κ.

  • Amazing

  • It's from the Columbian Earthquake relief concert 1986 I think whole song is here watch?v=wQR09agGEDA

  • Thats the best guitar solo from everyone

  • i wanna reach the million with the refresh button.
