  • Its for these issues, that I really hate the popularity contest that politics is, especially at the federal level.

  • Quite nice interview. We have to stop prohibition. It corrupts the whole functioning of democracies. Jack Cole is quite eloquent. I hope the day will come when people will awake and vote for a politician capable of listening to LEAP, capable of admitting "we were wrong", and capable of legalizing all the drugs. I think we should tax them with respect to the damage they cause. People may be surprised. Prohibition can only work on misinformation. Thanks for the hope. Thanks for the respect.

  • they look like brothers

  • google levamisole

  • This is a great video!! Keep em comin!

  • I find it sickening how many people want us to try to rid the middle east of poppy..

You think they hate us now? Go all out on their poppy fields, and see how bad they hate us! You will have farmers running to terrorist organizations..

  • before the drug war when heroin, cocaine, marijuana and other drugs were legal and available over the counter at any pharmacy, America had 1/10th the drug use it has today.

The government only participates in the failing drug war knowing that they can seize billions of untaxed cash generated from the illegal drug trade, & our gov't has been importing the very drugs its fighting against for some time.

Dont beleive me? what about that gov't plane crash with tons of pure cocaine in it?

  • I don't believe this, and I think you are speculating. I would like to see some evidence of what you claim.

It seems if the drugs were legalized the government would have to do less work for even more money. Why pay thousands of police to capture the occasional drug smuggling? Seems like they would break even on seizing drug money.

  • Check out the Drug Reform Coordination Network if you're capable of logic.

  • I wonder when the government will go after the real criminals? imagine if half the money they spend on the drug war which will never work, on pssh, i don't know, schools? health care? the government is the definition of the word stupid being stupid is having something not work(alcohol prohibition) and trying the same exact thing over again and expecting it to work this time. it's the equivalent of putting a square peg in a round hole, failing and trying it again with different colored blocks.

  • An excellent topic, but the interviewer is distracting. He needs to ask better questions, get a haircut, and lose the shades.

  • Join us on the world's longest running debate on drug prohibition!

"The Drug War Makes The Word Freedom Meaningless" at political crossfire

  • Alcohol Prohibition was passed with a campaign of "Save the Children From Alcohol." But within five years, record numbers of teens were in court and in hospitals for alcohol-related problems. Prohibition supporters seeing that their children found it easier to get booze started a new campaign of "Save the Children from Prohibition." The war on drugs has been no different. "Save the children from the war on drugs"

  • no, if anything inform yourself cause it seems like you dn't know much.

  • No, you need to inform yourself if you actually think that everyone that uses drugs 'cannot function within society and must steal to afford their drug use'. Most people who use drugs arn't addicts, and even some addicts manage to hold down a job.

  • It doesn't even matter if a drug addict can't function in society. Tell me one reason why you think drugs should be illegal, minus the argument that too many people will get high and jump off buildings. Because that is retarded.

  • Also...It is no one's business what you..or I put into our bodies. If you ever become a target to police you will find out really quick how much the drug war has destroyed the freedom and civil rights of Americans. All to keep me from smoking a joint..and it didn't work anyway. If I wanted to I could go get any drug I want within a half hour. yea way to go..spend another trillion dollars ruining lives.

  • pafoofnic..you are absolutely right. except that all that will go away once they are legal and CONTROLLED by the honest people instead of the criminals who are in control now. Who would be selling crack or heroin on the streets for 10 dollars a pop if the addicts can go sit in a clinic and do it for free? NO ONE! They would have to go get jobs or move on to some other crime.

  • Drugs are an epidemic in the U.S.A. The War on Drugs is a complete failure, Are allies in Afghanistan are major heroin suppliers? The U.S. Govt. is complicit in the drug trade.

Legalize drugs, stop the violence in the inner cities. I DISAGREE WITH THE STATEMENT THAT IT IS NOT BLACKS SELLING AT THE LOCAL LEVEL.

PTTSBURGH AND PHILADELPHIA HAVE MURDEROUS TURF WARS EVERYNIGHT?

Eliminate the profit motive for the dealers and the criminal justice system

  • Not everyone who drinks alcohol is an alcoholic. Not everyone who smokes dope or even takes heroin cannot fully function within their community; including holding down a job.

  • definitionXbattle -

Do you REALLY think the possibility that some reckless parent accidentally let the kid get ahold of some drug outweighs all of this? Like the drain-o under the sink that has killed plenty of kids who unwittingly drank it? Risks in the home are AVOIDABLE - but the actions of those outside it are OUT of the control of the parent ... who would you rather be the arbitrator of safety for your child?

  • definitionXbattle -

Do you think the risk to children is less when the drug dealers dont care how old they are? when their neighborhood is getting shot up by gangs? when their father is in jail for smoking pot instead of bringing home the bread? when needles get discarded in the gutter because possession of that used needle will get the user arrested when he tries to dispose of it properly? when the cops are too busy chasing some crackhead to protect them?

  • definitionXbattle - are you referring to sugar, aspirin, caffeine, oxygen, beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, energy drinks, prescription narcotics, and a vast array of other substances that are considered acceptable and legal when you say "you know who the real criminals are?...andor buy any product that chnages the natural order of the body" ?? What about bungee jumping, hang gliding, meditation and other behaviors which cause the same changes to the brain that drugs cause??

  • legalize, regulate and penalize

sell drugs just like alcohol or anything else, but the harder the more requisists to buy them of course!

get them out of the black market and out of the hands of drug dealers

  • Sorry about all the same posts. I wrote a really long comment and am having trouble splitting it up. Just now this definition. I wrote a very eloquent essay rebuttling every point you had. It was a very nice essay and I was very proud, too bad you all dont get to read it.

  • i thought i already exposed that no officer or govt. official is free of corruption, and thats the whole problm. we cannot rely on them any further. we need to take action into our own hands! not legalize posion, which will only worsen the problem.

a more militant way is the only soloution, but it is seen as "terrorism". you know who the real criminals are? people who stand for, legalize, create, distribute, sell andor buy any product that chnages the natural order of the body

  • So what do you propose definition? Keep on keepin on? What are your "correct procedures?" Realize this, our world is not perfect. It never has been and never will be. It is IMPOSSIBLE for ALL officers of the law and government officials to be free of corruption.

  • So what do you propose definition? Just keep on keepin on? What are your infamous "correct procedures?" Realize this, our world is not perfect. Never has been and never will be. It is IMPOSSIBLE for EVERY officer of the law or government official to be free of corruption.

  • So what do you propose definition? Keep on keepin on? DO you not realize that correct procedures, in a situation like this, will never be followed. Not by government, not by police, not by drug people. No matter how many honest politicians and cops you have, there is no way in hell, that all of them will be a model citizen; our world's not perfect.

  • and another, final note, this is just down right dangerous thinking! you think our world will be happier with our lives in even more danger? children growing up in drug filled homes, thinking this kind of way of life is positive, and even safe...this is terrible. i'm not a republican, i'm not a democrat, i'm not anything...i'm a concerned member of society, and will be damned to let these ideas further destroy my world.

    FUCK L.E.A.P.

  • the idea that making it legal will make people less addicted is completly ridiculous. just look at tobacco, and those don't have half the mind-altering affects harder substances have. this is sickening, and the most disgusting part, besides law enforcment standing behind such notions, is that people are swallowing, and believeing this propaganda..there is no hope for this world with thinking like this...

  • your idea of putting all that money into education is laughable, seeing as children will be ridden with this disease to even care. and no one will be responsible enough to hold a job, so your minimum wage plan is a joke! do you plan on making the harder drugs less potent? so not only will people be buying these posions, but they will also be ridden with outher substances and unknown chemicals??

  • if the govt. and law enforcement took the CORRECT procedures, our streets would be safe from these problems, but they don't, and thats why we have this infestation of drugs. good luck keeping hard drugs out of the country when its legal, when you can't even do it when its illegal. bottom line, the authorities in power are not doing all they can to resolve this issue.

  • THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE WAR ON DRUGS! its completely false, and THATS the problem. let me ask..if they are against the prohibition of these drugs, do they support the legalization of them?? if thats the case, than these men should be put in jail. drugs wouldn't be half the problem they are if the police force didn't peddle them back into communities. the govt. spends $69 billion, and still nothing is done, so we should legalize it?? that is completly insane.

  • "if thats the case, than these men should be put in jail"

Ya to hell wiht the 1st amendment, and the constitution. There is a war going on!

  • About damn time , keep it coming , marijuana should be legal , addicts of hard drugs should get help if needed , not punishment . Spread the word !

  • This group is probably going to make a greater impact on the general public consideration of the Drug War than any other group or organization. We should support them and help them get this message out!

  • about time cops fess up to this dead wrong war on drugs. we need to make this the number one issue . with 50million+ daily tokers we even out number the NRA we need to learn from them, and get people to all vote for only pro -weed goverment

  • awesome video, more people need to see this

  • great video! i'm sharing this one!
