Mace is like the prodigy child of the Jedi order.
His entire race of people are Force Sensitive, he is one of the most gifted.
He has the natural ability to see Shatterpoints in the Force. He created a new Lightsaber form so he could harness his inner darkness into a weapon of light.
Yoda and Sidious is a big deal how? Yoda lived 700 years to have such knowledge of the Force. Palpatine was just a mastermind.. big deal.
Mace is not hyped, Star Wars gave him an insane background.

What should of went down was: Palpatine grabs Anakin's saber, screams then all of a sudden, he disappears and reappear right in front of the first 2 Jedi dispatching both with one swift stroke. Then Kit and Mace joins in, Kit couldn't keep up then falls, then Mace went Jackie Chan on Palpatine...

Agen Kolar is admiring Palpatine's vase and turns around just in time to get his ass kicked while Saesee Tiin just raises his saber and decides not to attack Palpatine when he has perfect chance.

The important thing to remember is that its not a sword fight, it's a sword fight between psychics. All Sidious (the most powerful Sith in the galaxy) has to do is cloud their minds as he jabs. Mace being one of the best can resist it a little better.

His time as Chancelor was up. He was only there because of the emergency powers given to him by the senate. General Grevious was dead, COunt Dooku was dead. The war was over - the senate had the authority to strip of his power...and if refused to give up power, they had the right to place him under arrest.
The Jedi however never saw his brilliant masterplan until it was too late.
That and the testimony of his friend Anakin. Remember, Windu was the one who (rightfully) believed Anakin was too loyal to the chancellor to report on his wrongdoings, so when Anakin told Windu that Palpatine was the sith lord, it only took Anakin claiming he was sure to convince Windu @kiewatninja1997

0:15 was my least favorite moment in the entire franchise. Come on, you can't kill off Kit Fistu. He is THE coolest jedi out of everyone, and I think he's in the running for coolest Star Wars character of all time.
While I'll agree that looking at the movie again, some of the characters like Palpatine and Anakin were bad, I'll admit that the action was excellent and this music actually made this fight scene quite epic.
The thing that annoyed me the most about this scene was that sidious 3 jedi with out breaking a sweat, then mace stepped in and had it won, and then came anakin

The reason why sidious killed the three jedi so quickly and easily is because he was using a force power which slows the enemies reflexes. Shadow influence, one of the best dark side powers there is in terms of power. However not even shadow influence could effect mace windu since he was so powerful.

I guess Kit Fisto is the second strongest in that group or not as influenced as much as the others since he lasted a little longer, slashing and dodging a couple times. How strong are those Jedi. I guess they're no where near Mace's level, since Mace was the only one who actually held his own.
If only Yoda came along, then Palpatine would have been outmatched.

not stronger, but more determined. nothing was going to stop him and he was able to tap into things that even Yoda couldn't tap in to. He was the perfect Jedi to fight Sidious. He would have the Emperor's number, the one person who could defeat him head to head, the only thing that made this different was Anakin interfering.

Okay, I could live with Palpatine killing Tiin and Kolar quickly... but goddammit, those losers don't even try! Agen Kolar is admiring Palpatine's vase and turns around just in time to get his ass kicked while Saesee Tiin just raises his saber and decides not to attack Palpatine when he has perfect chance.
To make things worse, they were Jedi High Council members. Plo Koon and Ki-Adi-Mundi should have replaced those guys and show them how things are done in downtown!

The important thing to remember is that its not a sword fight, it's a sword fight between psychics. All Sidious (the most powerful Sith in the galaxy) has to do is cloud their minds as he jabs. Mace being one of the best can resist it a little better.

His time as Chancelor was up. He was only there because of the emergency powers given to him by the senate. General Grevious was dead, COunt Dooku was dead. The war was over - the senate had the authority to strip of his power...and if refused to give up power, they had the right to place him under arrest.
The Jedi however never saw his brilliant masterplan until it was too late.

Remember, Windu was the one who (rightfully) believed Anakin was too loyal to the chancellor to report on his wrongdoings, so when Anakin told Windu that Palpatine was the sith lord, it only took Anakin claiming he was sure to convince Windu @kiewatninja1997

While I'll agree that looking at the movie again, some of the characters like Palpatine and Anakin were bad, I'll admit that the action was excellent and this music actually made this fight scene quite epic.

@Italleu He is both. Sidious is his Sith name, just like Vader is Anakin's Sith name. His real name is Palpatine, once a Chancelor, then an Emporer.

The reason why sidious killed the three jedi so quickly and easily is because he was using a force power which slows the enemies reflexes. Shadow influence, one of the best dark side powers there is in terms of power. However not even shadow influence could effect mace windu since he was so powerful.

@Triplethreat99 Even so I felt they could have lasted a LITTLE longer than that. I guess Kit Fisto is the second strongest in that group or not as influenced as much as the others since he lasted a little longer, slashing and dodging a couple times. How strong are those Jedi. I guess they're no where near Mace's level, since Mace was the only one who actually held his own.
If only Yoda came along, then Palpatine would have been outmatched.
