@StooTV I got the DVD version of the all three seasons and they weren't the same as when I first watched them. When I was 6 or 7 I always used to borrow the VHS tapes of them from the video store near my house. I like them more with Old Indy in them. Have you uploaded all of the Old Indy bits?
I grew up watching the version with Old Indy. When I saw that the new DVDs didn't have him I was upset. I liked when it was Indy telling the story about his past.
I've seen the DVD without Old Indy. It's interesting how much better the narrative is without the voiceover. Maybe that's just me? Much more immersive
Just before 06:26 there is a segment on the DVD's where Ms Seymour begins talking to a merchant, and Indy walks away to the Snake charmer. Did you cut that part out here?
I've been watching this fun series on DVD. I thought I'd check in and see what all the fuss and bother was about, having heard so much about the bookends.
Personally, I'm sort of annoyed that they were taken out. Lucas' tendency to go back and "correct" things on the DVD release is really annoying, imho.
I can understand that they date these date the show, and this one is a bit long, as well. But, dangit. That's how it was done originally, that's how it oughta be kept.
Never truly explained to this day. I'd say it was either an accident on one adventure or a medical condition that made him lose sight in his eye, possibly glaucoma.
The problem here isn't that he's not trying to interpret Harrison Ford, he's not interpreting INDY! He sounds more like an old man making up stories than he does an old man recounting events like those of Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade. Definitely a good actor, not a good Indy. And these introductions were ten minutes long? That must have destroyed the pacing!
Interesting to see but there is no way I buy that this dotty old coot who wants to hit kids with his cane was once the razor sharp Indy who even at 58 still dazzles. Sorry Mr. Hall, but you're not Indiana Jones.
George Hall was asked about that while the show was airing. He said that, rather than simply imitating anther actor, he decided to give his original take on the character. Lucas liked the idea, so they went with it. Had he tried to imitate Ford, I can only imagine fanboys saying "His Ford impression suck!!!!111"
are these episodes available for download anywhere?

I think mr. Hall did a tremendous job. He really gave a good interpretation of an old Indy.

"This place is boring, MAN, we're outta here." Quality acting that puts Haley Joel Osment to shame. Just kidding.

Mr. Hall did a good job in the The Old Indiana Jones Chronicles. Who else would you have picked to play the role?

George Hall as Old Indy kinda sucks. He doesn't even try to capture harrison ford. I'm glad this old man is not on the DVD release.
