Shade257. So why is she fucked up? The film brings out beautifully the conflictual element in her choice to be a woman. We all have choices to make in this life. Deep down, the human psyche wants to have its cake and eat it too, but life requires that we make a choice between one thing and another. And she made her choice with her whole heart. That's the opposite of being fucked up.
