First: I discover is a big fan of Werner Herzog's Films
SECOND: I read Self on Herzog and realize he can't restrain a couple of snide remarks..
Third: I notice how he snubbs Herzogs delight in very long walks... ONE was from Germany to Paris (or vice-versa).
FOURTH: (and here's the good bit...) I read about Mr Self's 'discovery' of Psychogeography, and of his great penchant for long walks to and from 'odd' places. it's a very Freudian story, innit?!
@andreaprodan I think people often confuse people's attempts of analysis and critical thinking as snubbing something. It happens a lot to me. A good example is when you ask somebody who pierces their face a lot why they pierce their face a lot as they would still look fine without lots of metal stuck in their face. Their first reply is more often than not "I do it because I like it and I don't care what anyone thinks because I think it looks cool" which, of course, does not answer the question.

Self looks like a lizzard. No that would be an insult to lizzards. The guy is a nasty piece of work. If there was an evil elite off green lizzards running the planet they would decide will scumbag self is too much of a ###' of the first order to join them.
David Icke is a madman, or perhaps just out to get famous. Either way, WS is way in another league. He doesn't need lizard people, he already did the Great Apes!
The best literary raconteur bar none - cheers for this.
David Icke though: not sure if he'd provide sufficient satirical material for WS. Wouldn't it have been funnier if his crack up had occurred on the road to Wembley rather than the road to turquoise shell suits?
I LICK HIS BOOKS

He just had to 'one-up' his former hero.

What an unusual question. Self has no patience for facile questions. :)

Psychogeography (the book and the practice) is fascinating. See Nick papadimitirou's work (Will Self''s friend).
