  • Absolutely beautiful playing.

  • Old Robbie just keeps getting better, like a fine wine or a nice cheese... Tasty or wot?

  • OMG...what can you say? red noses everybody! =)

  • dislike ?? how?? fantastic stuff from a great guitar player and a general all round good bloke

  • I swear, there must be people who don't even watch the videos on Youtube. They just go around voting down every video they can find.

  • is that a baby taylor?

  • @Beeeeeeenn

    Hi yes it is

    cheers bluesplugger

  • is it not Open A# ?

  • wrong! open A

  • Open G

  • Das ist PHANTASTISCH ! ( Biues for green...) с таким оттягом и...Круто короче,

  • tunning please !!

  • what tuning is this anyone ??

  • stunning

  • anyone know what tuning his guitar is in?

  • Quite agree with all the comments - he is bloody good - I have great memories of a night a few years ago with about 10 of us in a village pub in Langton Herring when Robbie and a friend just played two acoustic guitars and entertained us all.

  • would give anything to sit at a bar and watch him play all night. his playing is flawless

  • great bluesman

  • He's a kind and marvellous man. Normal in quite the best sense

  • what tuning is he using? standard? if it's open, what open tuning?

  • Wow. Makes poor old Slow-hand alias God look a bit pedestrian and comfortably numb in the old digit-feeling department, doesn't he! The one big thing Eric always had going for him though was impeccable taste in choosing songs (including this one). His guitar-playing? Well, this bloke clearly shows how much more you can get from the instrument.

  • Love, love, love Robbie. The Pretenders WooHoo. He is such a talented man. Watching him play with John Mayer on the last two tours has been an honor.

  • Robbie....I was hooked the first time I heard the opening notes to his solo for "Middle Of The Road" back in Dec. '83, then I got to see him on his last Preteners tour in March '87 in Seattle. It just confirmed what I knew since Dec. '83 - he's one of the best around. He's inspired me like Jeff Beck has.

  • Hey Rab!

I wish to bear your children for you! ( that'll be after I cut-off my left hand and bury it along with my guitar... ;) )

Lewis brotherhood of the singing plank.

  • Jolly nice Music! Jolly Nice fellow too! I had the pleasure of seeing him play quite a few times when I lived Dorset! Well Done ! muchloveflipper82axx

  • Grandissimo!!!!

  • This guy's the best kept secret on Planet Blues

  • Looks like a he's playing a Baby Taylor to me. I stand to be corrected though.

  • Sent shivers down my spine.

  • 1:07 was the best part of this performance, I've never heard such a sound from a guitar!

  • just a sliding harmonic

  • Hi

yes but it's the way you play it!!!

  • @layzsailor that's exactly like saying "yes, but it's just a piece of wood and six strings"

  • @clobosgarcia

Hi Robbie can make any piece of wood with six strins sound fantastic

My point was it is not what you play it is how you play it with passion committment

and feeling a rare ability in many guitar players who i assume you are one of

  • excellent as always.

  • This is amazing. Robbie is incredible. Great great great guitarist. Thanks for uploading.
