  • My four boys ;) Love you daddy, uncle T, uncle Britt, and papa Charlie! <3

  • JD Sumner is the kong of that song, but this quartet, especially the bass singer, gave him (JD) a run for his money...

  • Brett, its good to see this video and Mr. Charlie, what a voice, question.. hopefully you can answer. What was the theme Charlie used on his radio show. I have thought about this for years and cant find it - I think but im not 100 percent sure - it was a bass guitar, maybe played by Roy Clark.. Thanks !!

  • Britt,

Sorry to hear about another loss for you guys. You guys really had it & I am quite sure you brothers still do. Hope you guys continue spreading the Gospel of Christ, it is something majical & very special with you boys. I am sure your dad & Mr. Redd are smiling from heaven each time you brother's lift your voices in beautiful harmony. Keep making the majic & touching life's with your gift, it is really special.

  • This is live & in color! This is not some doctored up recording. You either had it nailed or you didn't. THESE GUYS NAILED IT! Awesome job from 4 singers & 1 fantastic pianist. For lovers of Quartet Harmony at it's finest it just doesn't get any better. Sorry to hear we have lost 1 of the best singers to ever grace a stage. My hat is off to to you guys, Excellent Performance 2nd to none & no one.

  • @MrGospelharmony

    Thank you sir,

I appreciate your comments. I am sad to say we have lost another one of our guys, Jerry Redd at the piano passed away just recently. We will surely miss Jerry and my Dad. I am glad you enjoyed our music.

    Sincerely,

    Britt Gilmore

  • Thank you for the information Britt. Sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a great Bass Singer. Wish I could have had the chance to see you guys. I can tell you guys were close & it had to be an awesome experience to sing with one of the best, who just happened to be your Dad. You guys are really good & thanks for sharing your music. It has been a blessing for me & others.

  • Hello this is Britt Gilmore and I am one of the Rangers. The Bass singer was my dad Charlie Gilmore. The other guys are my brothers Bo and Terry Gilmore. The gentleman at the piano is Jerry Redd, my uncle and a wonderful friend.

This is the last time we sang with our Dad as he passed away in August,2004.

I appreciate your kind words and I agree with you Sir, He was the best.

    Sincerely,

    Britt Gilmore

  • Thank you for sharing the info. This performance is second to none.

  • @bgilmore1955 Thank you for this imformation, Sir. I am sorry to hear you dad has past away. I Love you guys sound, just the best. Your dad was the best I have ever heard, just beautifyl bass voice. May I ask a question? Did your dad ever sing with the Sunshine boys at any time? The Gilmore's are the best I appreciate your music, sir. I know everyone appreciates it as well. Thank you sharing your talent.

  • @bgilmore1955 Very beautiful, I loved the bass and especially the tenor! I really enjoy tenor when it doesn't sound like screaming i guess you'd say.

  • This is a live Performance! Beautiful Harmony & The Bass Singer is awesome! One of the truest bass voices you will hear anywhere. Rich tone hi or low. Quality hi or low. This man is low & has a beautiful bass voice. This is as good as southern gospel quartet you will hear anywhere. Are they still singing? If you don't like & enjoy this you might be a bit jealous & envious.

  • Nope....this man is the best!

  • Live performance...not the best room acoustics...he still nails it. Very good.

  • This bass singer has excellent, warm, solid tone and real notes. I personally that far more inspirational and MUSICAL than the 8hz growling match.

  • I don't know who the bass that is singing in this video is, but he drops to at least a solid G1 and Gb1 at the end of this song and briefly touches the tonic F1. I know Tim Storms can go way down there, but if I could hit an F1, I'd be pretty darn happy. The lowest I've ever hit is an Ab1, but ever since I went into choir in college, I can barely touch a C2.

  • Check out "On the Jericho Road" by the same group to hear some more great bass singing!

  • muito bom ^^

  • The tenor is flat, sharp or something is wrong!

  • Lets go by what you said bout analyzing Sumner on Blessed Assurance.

    Stop annalyzing just enjoy.
