The folks that designed the new healthcare facility reused and/or recycled the entire Palace Inn in some way. For example, most of the concrete was turned into aggregate and used onsite. So it really only changed forms - but it's still there.
how long was this place vacant? I have drove passed it several times and one time I went passed and noticed it was no longer there, but they opened a new hotel in monroeville, near the mall. its where the radison was.

Wow come to think of it, so was mine in 1974!!! They had a "pong" game in the lobby--thought it was really cool!
