The Nerd doesn't even have any bad blood with the Irate Gamer, yet all of his fans take this as a call to war against him. It's not like he said, "I hate that hack! I'll tear him a new one!" He simply acnowledged the fact that the IG didn't reference him, so he was going to do the same.

Besides, the IG actually asked the Nerd if he could appear in one of his episodes. There's NO BAD BLOOD between either of them. Why everyone seems to pretend there is is beyond me.

I agree that early Irate Gamer was pretty similar to AVGN. But I think he's a ripoff in the same way that George Harrison ripped off of the Chiffons. He didn't exactly look to purposefully rip AVGN off, that's just kinda how it happened.
