I feel sorry for those women. If they enjoy their jobs, sure its fine, but that's unhealthy.

It's not like they can sell those clothes to REAL people anyways, who would fit them??

Besides, curvy models look much nicer and don't make you cringe when you see them.

The designers might think more on styles that will suit real figures too if they design their base ideas for real sizes.

And you can all stop with the guilt trips. Just check the labels, it will tell you if its alright.

They probably make more money in a WEEK than I do in a year! It makes no difference, I pity them for their health, and self-satisfaction, not their lifestyle, they must like their job to be in it, I'm sure there's a million other things they could do and enjoy. But so often they become bulemic or anorexic, they are influenced to always aspire to be slimmer. That's why I pity them. I have no delusions that they need/want my pity however..

I agree with pittying them for their health, but the majority of runway models are teens ( some starting at 12), so they are bound to be thin at 12 and 6ft. And not just models feel pressure to be thin, everyone does ( i basically blame hollywood). I understand your point and agree to some extent on why they dont use realistic women, but fashion isnt realistic, more fantasy and dramatic intent. Maybe im just desensitized to how thin they are.

Hehe I'm in my teens and glad I'm not that thin, but I'm weird lol. Still, it's a shame there's so much pressure on us. Britain is obese, and yet there still seems to be so much pressure to be thin. I don't get how that works but we don't seem to have reached a balance. Fashion can be just as ridiculous without the pressure. People becoming desensitised could turn out to be a good thing, if no one notices anymore, would they bother? I doubt that would work somehow..

Ive had the same topshop clothes for nearly 3 years now, one top ive woren ovr and over and it should be threadbare right now but it's still washing really well. As for their jeans, I have 5 pairs that i wear regularly and I can't fault them because they fit me perfectly, unlike the other high street stores where I look like a carthorse in jeans!lol

But I love H&M, Miss Selfridge, and Primark is good as well, a lot of celebrities shop there. Just 'cause Topshop is more expensive doesn't mean that some little girl in a sweatshop in india didn't make it though, People should be less snotty about clothes- if you like it- WHO cares where it's from?!

You don't think that Primark's crap is from other countries too? And if you havn't noticed, they're just crap, cheaper alternatives to what Topshop sells. Topshop sell QUALITY clothes in QUALITY material. So you're getting what you pay for. In Primark you're getting a really degraded form of a piece of clothing, with really bad prints on them, for £2. I'd rather go for quality than for quantity. But hey! Your opinion but don't go badmouthing something Primark rips off.

Louise Goldin is amazing! And so is Marios Schwab.

I love how topshop connects with designers even though there clothes are pret a porte. It still makes all the items exclusive.

It also does decent cuts for people of different heights.

I was at that show - from all the influential people I spoke to there say that Louise Goldin has taken knitwear to a level never explored before. So refreshing compared to other contemporaries.

Worth remembering that name if you're interested in the Fashion World.
