All gearbox karts are sequential.

What does that mean?

It means the shift pattern is linear... you must sequence through each gear to get to the next. IE: If you wanted to fo from 6th gear to 4th gear, you'd have to go through 5th first. An H pattern you could go straigh to 4th without having to engage 5th. However, that doesn't happen often on H-patterns anyways. These karts you pull to shift up, push to shift down. Each pull or push is a change of one gear in either direction.

haha. yeah. those tires are about 8 races old. me and all of my friends would use them until they were almost bald. its a lot more fun that way. you feel like a drifter. not the fastest way around the track, but it is fun.

yes i live in virginia beach, va. its not hard to find karts, just where to race them. my dad and i have gone through many karts and you can usually find them just on ebay. once a kart is only a year or two old, it goes down in value a lot. so you can find a decent one for cheap

Nice. But you make too many parasitical movements - never mind they look smart. If you try driving without whistling your tyres (at all, in all turns), you'll very soon discover you became SEVERAL SECONDS faster.

not sped up at all. these karts just have a lot of power. 125 cc and only pushing around about 300lbs. they can out accelerate pretty much any car out there.

Adding a huge motorcycle engine on a kart has been tried many many times before. As has adding a Jet engine.

They all go bog slow and can be outstripped easily by a 125cc proper kart engine.

They just weigh far too much.

When I say 125, I am NOT talking about one of those Rotax Max hairdryers, I am talking about a PROPER 125 Gearbox engine.

Why don't you see one of the 250 Gearbox KART engines, they can go faster than an F3 car round a long circuit, and have similar acceleration to an F1 car.

i kno u cant shove 1 in but virtually u can, with a bit of fabrication its done, all u need is a lil downforce on the front end, im doin a project now with a bandit 600 mk2 engine, goin great atm, just need to line up the chain straight so it wont fly off!

Yes, it'll be a good project and lots of fun....but don't expect it ultimately to be faster than a 250 Gearbox kart.

Yours will probably have a tonne more power, but be a LOT heavier. And the main thing that makes a Kart so fast is the low weight.

i've driven that track at least 3 times already. its fun as hell, but that hairpin is tricky. you hit that bit of dirt, your tires lose all traction, and you go for a spin into the wall.

It would be interesting to see how many negative comments come from people who actually drive shifter karts. The kart is over steering though. widen the rear track or narrow the front.
