i have a lot of respect for gillingham fc. i really do.

i started supporting city in 1997 and we sucked. i loved them though.

i supported city because their logo and motto reflected me as a person. regardless win or lose..just have a crack! i was proud of the club & its fans.

wembley 99. both clubs deserved to be promoted that day.

to see where city is now..i still wake up & can't believe it O:O but don't give up gillingham. believe in the heart of the underdog. you can do it too

I'm a preston fan and I remember when we drew Gillingham my heart sank beacause we had been lucky to only draw with them 1-1 both times we had played them that season. They were such a competative side with some class players like Carl Asaba. I went to watch morecambe v gillingham last season and it was just surreal. I remember dreading playing Gillingham lol

I was at that game and no way should there have been 5 minutes of extra time. Still have good memories of that day.

2009 play off final 1-0 v Shrewsbury Town. Great stuff.

I still hate that bias cheating Manchester-based wanker of a referee Halsey, who cheated us out of our victory. What really rubbs insult into injury was he was elected to the Premier League the next season and is still stitching teams up today!

At least we went on to have our day of glory the following year v Wigan. The memory of the Preston game was fantastic. I remember the delayed reaction on Bob Taylor's rubbish goal from the away fans- we all went beserk in Preston's crabby old stand.

People stop havin a go at the ref he was right to add 5 minutes there were injuries and substitutions. subs are meant to add 30 seconds each technically in the rules. fair play to you for being there tho you pushed us hard and we only just won. best win ever for us blues due to the circumstances. you shud have given us a few more tickets tho cos we had loads of fans turned down. good luck in the future anyways.

Despite losing on penalties, the Gills should be proud of this game, we didn't lie down for City and we proved we were not a walk over by any means. I don't know where the five minutes came from as their were no injuries or wasted time on Free kicks!
