Mom saw crowd outside bar; thought there was a fight. It was. On TV seen thru pix window. Beer & $ passed overheads in & out!)

I'm amazed to find that in over three years no one here had mentioned the American radio program Big Jon and Sparkie (spellings I just learned), on the air Saturday mornings from 1950 to 1958 and surely one of the highlights of my week for a while. "Teddy Bears Picnic" was the show's theme song.
