  • really... this shit happens everywhere drugs, guys... EVERYTHING -.-

  • it seems like they didnt inteview the popular rich girls

of the upper ease side these seem more like the studies

and not so popular and new york is big those 3 girls can't prove

    anything

  • these girls are not OLD MONEY kids, like the ones in Gossip Girl. I think they would be more like Penelope, Hazel, Nelly Yuki, and just more the kids of lawyers and stuff that go to private schools. While, Blair, Serena, Chuck, and Nate are all heirs to like incredible fortunes, and they have trust funds, and unending limits on their credit cards.

  • @DREZxo major lol. good one. haha

  • oh so the show's unrealistic? bummer, like we didnt know that! yet, it's much more interesting than the real thing: theese supposedly real UESrsare sooo boring, they provably don't have half the social life of a normal teen anywhere else in America. SAD, if u ask me.

  • um, wow, so many of you are influenced by the media. I live in the UES and go to an all girls prep school and I totally agree with what these girls. When you go to a school on the UES academic standards are off the charts at most schools 2 Cs on a report card for 2 terms will get you expelled. Also if we were partying every night how would we get our 6 hours of homework of studying. Our parents are not going to go out and buy us closets full of dior, we have uniforms & who are we trying impress?

  • ew they are all fat and ugly nothing like upper east siders

  • J-Crew and Polo??? WTF, don't rich people wear like Gucci, Prada, Valentino, and etc, like high end. J-Crew and Polo would be normal peoples' high end, lol.

  • @LoVeStoned2424 Ralph Lauren is high end - Polo is just their more affordable line. J Crew is a more casual high end, like Banana Republic.

Gucci's name has been ruined by pop culture, along with Louis Vuitton, so those don't count.

I wear Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Harry Winston, Pattek Phillipe, Marc Jacobs, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, and Calvin Klein, mostly. These are the kinds of clothes most of us wear when I'm at my family's place in Connecticut.

  • I'm sorry but these real gossip girls are blah! Their clothes look like they got them off a clearance rack.

  • they are not cute, and the video look simply fake.

  • does it really matter whether or not gg is real? i mean...it's tv...i don't watch tv to watch real scenarios - i'm already in the real world, it's much more interesting to watch something thats much more 'wild'. And personally, i don't think there's anything wrong with taking an hour out of ur week to watch something that's a little less realistic..it takes you out of this world and puts you in another one - that's what tv is supposed to do.

  • Okay, personally I can bet that the people who made this specifically chose girls who were much more uptight than the Gossip Girl Characters. I agree that the show is a heightened reality but for the most part they still have sex, do drugs, and drink alcohol and these girls make it seem as if they don't. And I also don't believe that the girls in their school don't wear brand names because the UES is one of the most expensive neighborhoods so the girls wouldn't just wear whatever clothing.

  • I totally agree !

Likee.. No offense, but they really didn't choose girls who look like Blair or Serena

Likee Yah the show is really exagerated, but people do live a life similar to the girls on Gossip Girl

They should've chosen diferent types of girls, because these girls answer the same answers to the questions

  • i agree with everything minus the brandnames, i think with that much money, there proabbly more subtle like wearing really obvious big name pieces can be a bit tacky, i don't think's it's to do with the money,

  • @nellynana7 Right. You can tell the difference between new money and old money because new money tend to like to flaunt labels, when that really just makes them look extremely ghetto lol. If you REALLY want to look wealthy, you should wear clothes that only other truly fashion-savvy people know about, without having to look at a name.

  • obviously these girls' lives are not like that of those on Gossip Girl. These girls are probably from the Upper East Side, but are just straight-edge, studious girls - not that there is anything wrong with that, but that's not how the girls on GG are. I mean, GG isn't trying to say that ALL Upper East Siders are that way; the point is that, in some cases, it IS. And obviously these girls don't fit.

  • I've definetely read articles in various magazines about the children of the rich, and their lives are very charmed.

  • BORING! I mean come on I don't think anyone really cares about these uper-est side girls lives...I mean my life looks much more interesting!

  • this is so boring...i mean...this girls are not so cute....and they are so boring....i dont belive that they are real UES....

  • why? if you're from the UES you're born cutter than the rest of the people? they might or might not be cute, but they're real people!

  • Ugggh they are not cute. Couldn't they of found better looking girls?

  • thats exactly what i thought!

i feel like there are girls like the girls on gossip girl but these girls are not as... popular.

  • this is boring

  • i really liked it

  • Well, obviously. Their are lots of people that live on the Upper East Side, and these are not the upper echelon of them...Gossip Girl (albeit a fictional show) is portraying the lives of some of THE richest and well known families on the UES...not just random people that live there, that are still wealthy but no where near the wealth shown on the show...so of course there's a BIG difference!

  • @juniorjuice88 I completely agree. These children aren't heirs to railroad and oil fortunes, like on Gossip Girl...so this isn't very accurate...but whatever, still entertaining.

  • @juniorjuice88 @juniorjuice88 Um. I actually go to these schools in Upper East Side. You have to understand Constance is fictional, but it's actually based on these kind of exact schools. "THE richest and well known families" DO go to the exact same schools -- (I know someone who's stepdad is the head Rockefeller) but it's still not exactly like Gossip Girl. I know those girls, and yeah, they party, hook up, etc. But they never cut school and they also don't drink or smoke -- THAT much.

  • i think they' re the same girls. They're just not as skinny as the ones in GG. but that's okay, they're in highschool.

  • yeah know they think where they live is the center of everything..newsflash not true dumb blondes.

  • lol drugs are everywhere not just in NYC

  • i know right?

i feel like thats a really manhattan teenager way of thinkign

to think that they are the only ones exposed to sex and drugs and saying that things are more subdued in the suburbs.

i have kids in my school with coke addictions and heading to rehab and i live in a middle class suburb

  • oh wow yeah that sucks.
