Sad how SMP has been broken since the 1.3 update for some of us. Not sure what the hell is going on with any supposed fix, but there's little way Mojang could have avoided learning about this issue unless all members are being forced to work without access to support e-mails. If this isn't fixed in 1.4, I suppose I'll just have to drop the next $20 I might have spent on a Mojang title on a seedbox instead. Perhaps doing that might even spare other people from funding a lazy developer.
I find it scary it takes notch and his team 3+ months to come out with wolves, spawning and achivments.
yet it takes ONE modder less than a month to create an entire new game, such as the animals mod that includes block destroying trolls, or the SDK gun mod that lets you craft all sorts of guns and ammo and grappling hooks.

I find it scary it takes notch and his team 3+ months to come out with wolves, spawning and achivments.
yet it takes ONE modder less than a month to create an entire new game, such as the animals mod that includes block destroying trolls, or the SDK gun mod that lets you craft all sorts of guns and ammo and grappling hooks.
I really dont think mojang is worried about continuing minecraft. They already got our money.

@loky4000 tbh i played it before you could pay before inf and indev, and i liked it so when i could pay for it I did, knowing that I would have a rare oppurtunity to watch a project evolve. Some would ask how you could pay for an unfinished product, and thats a good point! if I didn't believe in the game and enjoy it in its unfinished state it would be hard to justify the expenditure. But thats the crux of the matter, the justification of "worthiness" lies with the individual..

I feel like I need more context or something... The game is certainly unfinished, but fun enough already that I don't feel my money has been wasted, even if the game is not updated ever again. That would certainly be a shame though, considering how much can be done to improve the game. Why so much whining about this?

@Harabeck Because he promised updates and such, while still selling the game. If the game was free it would not be a big deal, but he's practically taking money and running. I don't hate Notch or Mojang, but they need to live up to what they said.
And no, I didn't buy the game, it was gifted to me.
