I think the reason for all the CF hate is nostalgia. I first played AC less than a year ago and the first one I played was CF, and I have yet to play Wild World. But later on I got the GameCube one. I think it and CF are BOTH great games, and... well... pretty much the same. The only real difference to me is the graphics and some random features (like running errands and the island). And I thought the CF music was far better and more memorable. The CF hate reminds me of the Pokémon R/S hate.

CF was to much the same to WW though that was the only problem with it to me. But i find this music the most enjoyable :)

I loved the music in this game, all the other versions had the same notes as the title screen but with different background music. But when I compare the games, I really feel like Wild World the best. I liked being able to make the master designs or whatever they call them in City Folk, but that was about it. I wouldn't replace the original for anything because it's so heartwarming and it brings back great memories. But Wild World added more to the original, and taking it on the go was great.

Yes, there was an N64 version that was only released in Japan. It's called Animal Forest. The Animal Crossing for the GameCube is actually a port of the N64 version, all they did was add the museum and the island.

I like Wild world best because it introduced many good new elements.

Such as hair, accessories, hats, online etc.

I also like how you share the house since it kind of emulates the way you share the game with others so they can play.

The way you get to use the bank without upgrading your house all the way was good too. The game was also portable, so thats another good reason and the way it utilized two screens was really good.

For one, it's not a laggy piece of shit like Wild World. Second, hierarchical villages. Wild World was just FLAT. All these problems, are, of course, due to memory constraints, but it's depressing to go back to after moving onto City Folk.

Music in CF is also the same as WW, save for new new K.K songs. I hope they change the overworld music completely for the 3DS version, or back to GC at least.
