nice.. CC is 2-1. we posted a shut-out against Mt lebanon. MT lebo is having a down year thou, we got a local power Upper St Clair coming up this week but it got moved to their field because they are expecting a big crowd and the one field we use for home games cant handle it and the other two fields are in use. we got our rival Woodland hills in 2 weeks. We have no true home field and basically play all road games.

how big is ur school? central is all boys and has about 800. i figure that lakeland is pretty big school with more of a pool of boys to pick from. i think the heat played a big role later in the 2nd half. cental plays half their games in sub 50 degree weather. thats was nothing for florida boys. i didnt think you guys pushed us around it was all speed. i would have liked to see last years team play you guys. Tino Sunseri looked to come to Central in 2004. He was going into 9th grade. If you think he was still "recruited" I'd ask his parents - its really hard to argue with the facts. And about WPIAL programs being at such a disadvantage - they have youth programs that feed their high school teams. Central doesn't have that. They don't have academic requirements that are as rigorous as Central's either.

You're right... it's an unfair advantage. It sucks for everybody else that the best athletes and students from around the city (and beyond) continuously choose to come to Central.

How about the advantage every public school has- the vast majority of their kids have been in their programs since they were young kids. Their players have played together since they were in grade school. Central doesn't have that luxury and has to form a team from a bunch of kids who really don't know each other.

Yes I know Sunseri's dad is an Nfl coach. He is currently the d-line coach for the Panthers. His son lived in North carolina with him before "transferring" to Central his junior year to play football. If you transfer to a new school for athletics, WPIAL rules require that you sit out a season before you can play.
