Well, at least they can do so together. Besides, what happens next is a positive. Good storytelling will never just lay on the negatives in layers upon layers without something good happening at least once in a while.
"The Fountain Guardian," "Icicle of Prosperity," and "Dragon Scales" are all skippable, so my guess is that you wouldn't be allowed to start this until you get all of the Barbaros pieces.
It seems you lost quite a bit of Hirame HQ points for continuosly (spelling?) ringing Wiki at the treasure chest train ride. I would've probably done the same thing. I enjoyed the cut-scenes here, too. I don't plan on getting this game, so atleast I can piece together the story with those.
I don't blame you. At this point, after the battle you just went through, I'd be ringing for 3 minutes straight until the curses stopped chasing me if I had to. This game doesn't have checkpoints, does it? I'd hate to have to do the battle over again because a couple of wayward curses got too close.
What's with the happy music going on while they are lost at sea, doomed to die a slow death of starvation and underhydration?

Was Zack hopping to the beat of the music at 3:02 to 3:06? It seemed like that way to me.

You know, it occurred to me, is it possible to get to this level without all the treasures?
If I recall, there's at least...I want to say 2 stages you don't have to do to move on to the next stage.
It makes me wonder what would happen; would you just not be allowed in until you gather all the parts? Would Barby somehow get them regardless?

Yeah, I was getting tired from it. I probably swumg more vigorously than I should've.

I later found out that to get the full points, you must ring when the curses are at their closest. But hey, I was freaked out.

There are no checkpoints in the middle of stages in this game, since for the most part, they're pretty nonlinear. None should take that long anyway.

I like Zack's scream when he's about to fall into the water. It sounds kinda girly compared to his other screams of terror xD.
