  • Good dancing is not only elegant, but features the gaits that are normal for both partners.

    This is an example of bad dancing. The here is taking long steps forward not caring that his partner has to take unusually long steps for a woman, and backwards too.

    I bet the original Castles made a lot of money teaching this type of dance.

  • That's Tres Moutarde (Too Much Mustard), written by Cecil Macklin in 1911. You can hear a nice piano version of it on Professor Bill's Ragtime Music site. I love this part of the movie (the end is so sad) and that number is my favorite.

    Sorry, I don't know the orchestra.
