  • favoloso mike stern.. lascia senza fiato anche con 3 note..

    quelle giuste al posto giusto...

  • la grande classe!!!!

  • Omg! What a beautiful guitar solo!!

  • The most exhilirating song the Brecker Brothers ever did with just about the most perfect guitar solo backed by a megaband. Heaven.

  • what a drummer! Dennis Chambers is the master of masters!

  • My first thoughts when I heard Mike Stern's solo were "That's something I would play if God was in the audience." The ending is ABSOLUTELY EPIC!

  • Sax Michael Brecker

    Trumpet Randy Brecker

  • Mike Stern sticks out from other guitarists because of his tone. Not only does he utilize tone electronically but he also manipulates tone merely with his technique and playing style. I'm not vouching for accuracy but I've been told sax is the closest instrument to the human voice, and you see just about every saxophonist in bop and fusion use their tone tricks to their advantage in solos. Guitarists need to learn more about using tone for vocal emotion instead of sounding like a machine.

  • @lizard218 Personally IMO, I wouldn't say that this is why Stern sticks out from the other guitarists, because most of the cats who are at this level of playing do it. And there are quite a few players who are Hendrix reincarnation like Michael Landau, they are the utlimate tone manipulators (not just rig-wise, but the way they have amazing control over the instrument and odd articulations). I think Stern sticks out because of his amazing note choices and phrasing. Lot's of sax players in him.

  • bassist : james genus

  • The bassist - Is that Grainger?

  • @LedThomsen That's James Genus on Bass...one of the Crossover Jazz masters.

  • Man I love Mike's solo...

  • The brecker brothers had some of the most beautiful compositions in the universe. I can't say on the planet, because that's too much of an understatement.

  • 25 hours

  • One of the most emotional guitar solo ever!!

  • Mike Stern just proves to me here, that hes really able to construct and evlove the solo.

When see the Chromazone solo, theres just no real evolution, but that one here is absolutely amazing.

  • nice

  • wouuuuuuuuu...!!!

  • riff (r¹f) n. 1. Music. A short rhythmic phrase, especially one that is repeated in improvisation.

  • Stern is one of the most gifted guitarist that I have heard play. His transitions between riffs seems so effortless.

  • yess!! stern!
