sweet, you can tuck in just as good on an fz1 and r1 cant you. Im torn between the two. I;m worried , me being 6 foot 5 on the fazer, that at 80 mph for about 3 hrs riding it would want to rip me off it, the r1 would have me leaning over forward more. But on the fz1 you could do both. You know, so Im torn. Thats why I sold my cruiser too, its sucked. Needed more SS! thnks
take the fz1, you cant do 3 hrs riding on an r1 full stop without a lot of pain, and the screen and upper fairing is dead low the wind will hit you in you chest, get a full faired fz1 and get a taller screen
@bmetstud from experiance my last bike was a 1100 gsxr with big bore kit list goes on. it was uncomfortable big time. it was fine in the city except 0 to 60 a 600 geared right can keep up neck and neck due to wheel spin causing the need to feather the throttle till second gear. my new bike a 01 fz1 has a yosh slip on, ivans jet kit with modified air box and a k+n filter. the fz1 is by far more comfy, plenty fast enough and a bloody sexy bike. i suggest a givi windscreen for all that ride the fz
@bmetstud the fz1 is also a far taller bike than the r1. i actually bought lowering links from soupys performance that are adjustable from factory to a 4 inch drop. 2 inches is perfect for me at 5 foot 10.
i own a 95 supra and a 06 fz1. no way my fz would be my supra @ 100mph roll to 170mph. Anything under 80 car vs bike hilarious. bike gets out way ahead when i tried but at 140mph my supra starts to walk away from the bike.
@sidwin516 unless i saw a jet engine sticking out the back of youre supra i laugh at youre supra. youre supra has tall gears and youre 600 fz is at or near the end of its leash at 140 mph. vs a fz1 by the time you topped out i doubt the fz1 would be visable to you starting at 100 mph roll on. perhaps you should watch the above video again it was a porsche not a toyota. how fast do you feel they were going when the fz1 nailed it?
How fast were you going when you finally hammered it and left him sityin. My guess is about 80 to 100 and you left him sittin with his 80 to 90 Grand tail between his legs
Remember this video is 2X normal speed. I was at 80 in 6th gear when he past me, then down shifted to 5th and was at 95 mph when I nailed it. Nice car!
