    After 16 hours rise time I created a runny blob. Any thoughts?

  • @sjbl1962 Too much yeast and/or water? Make sure your water measuring cup is the same size as your flour. The room should be "room temperature".

  • That oven looks scary with the exposed element at the bottom!

  • @lutherdriggers Ha, not in the developed world, no :) Most modern electric ovens are fan assisted or have their heating elements in the surround, not exposed like that, it looks dangerous to me!
