You're right ... but I'm sure there'll be a lot of soul-searching on stiffening the wings, etc. A bit like what they did with the PIper Tomahawk, that used to snap off tails when spinning. They're relatively safe now!
The 150 acrobat is pretty weak, but its fun and affordable.
Whats aircraft is a ct-4 and all that b grade f/i rating stuff-?? Sorry to ask-US has no acro ratings except for low level and airshows. I have instructed acro since 1977 from Decathalon-pitts and jets.
Yeah, I've only ever flown aerobatics in the C150 and a Beagle Pup B121, some spinning in a Piper Tomahawk (the one with the tail that wags while you're spinning!) ... but I've never flown a Pitts or anything. You get checked out for aerobatics for low level and airshows here in Oz too. The only OTHER flying I've done that's a bit like aerobatics is rounding up cattle with planes. We have pretty big fields (paddocks) here, and so you get to throw the plane round pretty hard mustering cattle!!
NIce-I used to have and fly T-4 and T-5 and a BAC Strikemaster in USA-we still have a t-4 but fuel keeps it grounded lately. Glad somebody is still flying one ,
hay ya ben like to have the chance to come and fly with me in a ct4, thanks for your email maybe we could make a video of it love to have you as a f/o for a day and give you some hands on
nice song to go with the clip (pink floyd) was that out over vic? iv'e seen the strike master a few times out that way. i have an endorsement for aerobatics but only in a ct4 and doing my B grade f/I
Yeah, that was at Ballarat, with Australian Jet Adventures. And my only aerobatics have been in a C150, and the difference b/w jets and small stuff is that the G-forces are constant throughout a loop. Quite something else!! Good luck with your flying career! Enjoy!!
He says "brakes" after rotation and you step on the toe brakes to keep the wheels from spinning as they retract into the wheel wells.

probably not too keen to give the old strikemaster a hard time since they are prone to wings breaking off :)
