i am a filipino, how i wish i can speak spanish born in 1975 where spanish was no longer been taught and became a foreign language, american succeeded in seeding their language to alter the dominant Hispanic language. Many countries in the american content speak Spanish with exception of Canada and u.s. and to learn more about my country since documents before are written in Spanish and appreciate more about my country and its camaraderie with former colonies of Spain.

By the way, I am Mexican, but I am often told I look french or white, that is because Mexico is a melting pot too, just like the US and the rest of the world. I married a white male and out kids look only white now. I always remind them to embrace both cultures as well. Phillipines also left a great amount of impact in Mexican history and food. There are no pure filipino everybody is of mix genetic makeup unlike the Japanese, Koreans, chinese.

But people also have asked me if I'm Persian, Hawaiian, and Italian. Mexican isn't a race. Philippines was colonized by Spain for 333years and then came the Americans for 33yrs.
During those colonial years many spanish and americans had married filipino's some of them
are malay/chinese blood. So thats the reason why some filipino's look like mexican or latino's.
