The Bible was insipred by God but man wrote it down. This was the Holy Spirit inspiring them to write what God wanted to be written. If you read the stories of the prophets as written right now, they foretell Jesus mission and life. The Bible also contains confirmed prophecy, so mistakes are not that important to accuracy and truth
The Quran does have errors too. Many of the stories written in it, are from known legends.
The story of Abraham smashing the idols is from the Midrash, which all Rabbi's agree was a made up story so that the Jews would not fall into the sin of idolatry while the Greeks were becoming a major influence in the region.
Also the Quran has stories from the gnostic gospels, which are known to be made up, because they do not fit the prophecies about Jesus life, ....
and are really pretty silly when you read them, like baby Jesus talking from the cradle, not even Christians believe this story and we believe he was God, but he was compeletly human too. So it isn't true.
These infancy gospels were written to fill in the gaps of the gospels stories, which don't say much about Jesus childhood.

See if you read the Old Testament prophets stories you will realise a steady theme, that the prophets didn't know what God was thinking or doing, etc... they didn't speak with any authority, they couldn't forgive sins without a High Priest.
Then when you read the New Testament you see how Jesus knew everything about God, Jesus often said, I only do what I see my Father doing, he always spoke with authority teaching people lessons, no other prophets taught like Jesus did about God.

Jesus even forgave sins by simply saying you are forgiven !
Normally you had to confess your sins to the Priest and offer a sacrifice to God, then the High Priest of the Temple would ask for forgiveness from God personally.
Jesus just simply forgave people their sins ! How could he do this without the Temple, High Priest and sacrifice ?
Jesus said he is a High Priest in the priestly order of Melchizedek, Psalm 110, who was a high priest specially ordained by God, not from the tribe of Levi, the priestly family.
And he was the Blood atonement sacrafice for forgiveness of sins. How could he forgive sins, if he was not all of the above ?

So he could rewrite it anyway he wished. But the Bible is not corrupt, Jesus quoted from it to prove he is the Messiah and God in the flesh, and so did the apostles.

The mistakes were made because of human error and age of materials when copying. Muhammad didn't know the Bible well, that is why he didn't copy much of it, he hardly used any of it, hence the heavily condensed Biblical narratives. Mainly the local Meccan pagan religion. Actually Islam is the pagan religion of Mecca without the idols. Allah was always the high god of the pagans, the pagans did the lesser and greater pilgrimage to Mecca before Islam.

It's called plagiarism. Jesus quoted from different books of the Bible to prove he was foretold in the Bible. The evidence is he contradicted Jesus teachings of non-violence, private prayer, no halal-haraam food laws, etc......all predating the Quran. Because I believe God would not turn people into animals. It takes away a persons free will, and animals don't have spirits, it seems totally incompatible with a Holy God's nature. Well I believe it is so we don't worship our book, it's a spirtual guide not a manual of do's and don't's. Nothing is perfect except God.

Actually it does, if you believe god is able to all things and is all powerful he can surely protect his word, why dont you find a mistake like that in the Quran. The Quran does have errors too. Many of the stories written in it, are from known legends.
The story of Abraham smashing the idols is from the Midrash, which all Rabbi's agree was a made up story so that the Jews would not fall into the sin of idolatry while the Greeks were becoming a major influence in the region.
Also the Quran has stories from the gnostic gospels, which are known to be made up, because they do not fit the prophecies about Jesus life, ....

See if you read the Old Testament prophets stories you will realise a steady theme, that the prophets didn't know what God was thinking or doing, etc... they didn't speak with any authority, they couldn't forgive sins without a High Priest.
Then when you read the New Testament you see how Jesus knew everything about God, Jesus often said, I only do what I see my Father doing, he always spoke with authority teaching people lessons, no other prophets taught like Jesus did about God.

Normally you had to confess your sins to the Priest and offer a sacrifice to God, then the High Priest of the Temple would ask for forgiveness from God personally.

Jesus said he is a High Priest in the priestly order of Melchizedek, Psalm 110, who was a high priest specially ordained by God, not from the tribe of Levi, the priestly family.
And he was the Blood atonement sacrafice for forgiveness of sins. How could he forgive sins, if he was not all of the above ?
So Jesus is clearly who Christians say he is, even the Quran has glimpses of who Jesus really was.

Copied the gist of the Bible, the prophets stories are mixed up in facts. Has known legends in it.
Basically Muhammad's excuse for not knowing the Bible well, when he was laughed at by some Jews for not knowing about the Jewish prophets, is that it is corrupt. So he could rewrite it anyway he wished. But the Bible is not corrupt, Jesus quoted from it to prove he is the Messiah and God in the flesh, and so did the apostles.

He didn't copy much from it. The Quran's descriptions of the prophets sound like a retelling from a child.

Shows that Jesus was either born directly from his eternal spirit or was created with a new pure blood line. Which either way makes him the most unique person who ever lived. If you keep following this a+b=c logic you will find that Christianity explains why all this happened. The Quran however gives no explanation for Jesus spirit and miraculous blood.

The mistakes were made because of human error and age of materials when copying. Muhammad didn't know the Bible well, that is why he didn't copy much of it, he hardly used any of it, hence the heavily condensed Biblical narratives. Mainly the local Meccan pagan religion. Actually Islam is the pagan religion of Mecca without the idols. Allah was always the high god of the pagans, the pagans did the lesser and greater pilgrimage to Mecca before Islam.

Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit, God's spirit as I showed, I proved that all prophets received his spirit. It is consistent, so you have to ask why is the Bible consistent if it is corrupted in only certain parts like you say ? It's called plagiarism. Jesus quoted from different books of the Bible to prove he was foretold in the Bible. Only an impostor would use the names of the prophets of the Bible to force his way into another religion and tell everyone the original has been changed. Jesus had no problem with the Old Testament. Yet the Quran differs there too in many aspects. Not much adds up when you look at the Quranic claims with some detail.

The Biblical prophets all told people to have faith in God's spirit to guide you, he lives in you, listen to that voice this is the message of the prophets for 2000 years. Muhammad did not even teach that, he taught law and many different things like our deeds will be weighed on judgment day. No other prophet taught that except Muhammad. Which means he is the odd one out.

The evidence is he contradicted Jesus teachings of non-violence, private prayer, no halal-haraam food laws, etc......all predating the Quran. Because I believe God would not turn people into animals. It takes away a persons free will, and animals don't have spirits, it seems totally incompatible with a Holy God's nature. It sounds like a tale from Arabian nights. Also we believe Jesus is God, but he couldn't speak as a child because he was fully human and divine while on earth. Again it sounds like a mythological tale.

Also a prophet has to be tested, just becasue Muhammad said he was a prophet doesn't mean he is.
You see many people tested him, and his excuse for not knowing about the Bible was it has been changed.
Muhamamd made an assertion about the Bible, then he provided no evidence as to where the errors are and who made them, etc.......
So he gave no real reason to trust him. So I believe the 54+ witnesses of the Bible attesting to the one God, whose name is YAHWEH, why didn't Muhamamd mention..
