Quran gave slaves exclusive rights. FACT. Forced prostitution of female slaves was banned. Quran encouraged freeing, and/or marrying slaves by masters to atone thier sins! Slaves were spiritually equal to thier masters. Slaves were able to purchase thier freedom!

Exodus 21:20-21 "If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property."

The Holy Quran says in 2:221, it says a slave woman/man is better than an unbelieving woman/man. In Sahih Bukhari, Belief, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 29, the Prophet(pbuh) says "Your slaves are your brothers and Allah has put them under your command. So whoever has a brother under his command should feed him of what he eats and dress him of what he wears. Do not ask them (slaves) to do things beyond their capacity (power) and if you do so, then help them."
