  • I LOVE YOU! I Have been looking FOREVER for this...this was the only one that worked!

  • Nope, this doesn't work for me. I've got an XPS M1530 and setting it to XP mode invalidates the driver (Because the system couldn't ever have had XP) - There were only Vista drivers available.

  • Can't find driver for XPS 720, damn sigmatel.

  • how come I have a Sony Viao but also have the same soundcard as a Dell?

  • because they both use sigmatel, u idiot.

  • what a helpful and kind community

  • what a stupid person :)

  • I tried this for my Dell XPS 210. It just gave me an error message when I tried to install the driver.

  • Did you use "SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio"? Thats the driver for Dell XPS 210.

  • Yeah, and I eventually got it installed. Only problem is, now the sound doesn't work at all. It says the drivers are functioning properly, but there's a red 'X' over the speaker icon and no sound will emit.

  • guy that made this vid - thanks

also have u tried using camtasia? i prefer it

  • Is camtasia free? ill look into it if it is.

  • it can be

    u catch my drift?

  • I don't remeber but it says "ExitError:Error=Device Object not preset, restart the system and run setup again" right before it finishes installing and I have a Windows Vista
