So you guys have been done filming for a while now. When are we going to see the actual trailer instead of this investor trailer? As much as I enjoy watching this, I'd like to see how the movie looks with the actual actors like John Wesley Shipp. :)
Excellent work here! You guys are doing some great things. I hope the best for you. If you ever need any onset help I'd be glad to be a part of what you've got going on here. I've done just about every job on set you can think of and I have all my own equipment. Cheers! Kick some ass with this film; it looks great.
That matte blur in the beginning and some shots is horribly annoying. Is that an attempt at DOF? Everything else looks real nice. Are you guys based in Columbus?
Thanks for the critique! We used the vignetting on the flashback scenes to differentiate between them and the present, since we didn't want to be flashing dates during the teaser. The trailer was shot on the HVX with the M2 adapter, so we had no trouble with DOF; it was more of a creative choice; apparently it didn't work as we wanted. That said, glad you liked the rest of the trailer! Currently, the director and the writer are based in Columbus, and we may shoot the actual film there later.
ah, I didn't realize it was a flashback. That makes more sense for sure. Still seems a bit awkward tho for some reason. Yeah, i was a bit confused because the rest of the trailer looked real nice in terms of DOF. Looks interesting, and good to see someone shooting in Columbus despite the generally awful weather.
Just throw in a scene where Lily fights a claymation dinosaur with a pointed stick, and you've got yourselves a movie, baby. Guaranteed 15 Oscar nods, minimum.

Great work again one and all.

When this film premieres, it will be the highlight of Sundance. Give yourselves a collective pat on the bag. You have created something magical.
