@linus, why are you using the SMS verification when google have the Authenticator app in the app store?
ans as djGLCKR says you are supposed to use the application specific password feature of 2 step verification, that way if you were to loose access to the device/or forget to sign out/wipe the device you only have to Revoke that specific password rather than change your whole gmail password.
@Azzagard you get given 10 one time use codes that you write down when you turn 2step verification on, you can also set up a backup phone, so you would have to be pretty unlucky to ever loose access to your account
@patryric Which version of IE? If it's 6, they no longer support it. You'll need at least 8 but preferably 9. Personally I'd just use a different browser. IE is crap, all of them.
@jaydo1001 get an ipad it's what every other tablet is trying to be, if you hate apple then get the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 its basically a clone of the ipad.
Actually, if you're linking a new device to your Google account, you must use the "Authorizing Applications and websites" option on your account security tab.
In here, you'll have to give a name to the password you want to generate (i.e.: MotoXOOM account), and Google will give you a 16-digit password, with a space between each 4 letter group. You must introduce that password (including the spaces) instead of your regular PW. That's how you link devices via 2-step verification.
also... go to your accounts settings and go for the option that grants apps access. you can enter a name there and it wil generate a code that you can use as password.
Two-step verification sucks, it requires a cell phone and I don't have one.
I wish they could do two-step verification with a keyfob type thing (kind of like the RSA keyfobs many companies use for two-step verification on their VPNs).
it said username or password don't match because you are using an application , not signing in from the browser, once you activate the 2 step authentication in google you have to setup Authorizing applications & sites , which gives you a different password to use, for example for your mail client or google toolbar., they added this feature because most application were not designed to use to step authorization ,and to preserve security , application pass are different than ur google account pass

Just don't lose your phone if you're using 2 step verification or you won't be able to login.

It's kind of ironic to use an iOS device as part of the 2-step verification for an ANDROID device :)
