  • What a great steam engine! What year was it built? Is that diesel pushing or just there for the return trip? Love that whistle - nice and loud and clear!! What are you using for a camera? Great images and sound.

  • @MsC1953 Hi MsC1953, I am the said Steve Jr. mentioned above. We put the diesel on as a pusher for less stress on the steamer. The 98 was built by ALCo in 1909, and is of course the only one of its type left in existence. The whistle is a Logging Steel Bell 3-chime built by MD Whistles.
