I asked that one a while ago. It's like this; Qui Gon tells him to stay in the cockpit of the spaceship. By Anakin logic, it was therefore ok to fly into space and engage in battle because he could do that without leaving the cockpit. So, by that logic, Dilandau can murder Van if he doesn't have to leave the flying castle to do it, since he was told to stay in the castle.

I didn't read that far. The only books I got to read after the last movie, was the "Dark Force" trilogy by Timothy Zahn, and the "Jedi Academy Trilogy" by Kevin J. Anderson.

I love the Zahn books, but I got tired of Anderson's writing style for some reason. I couldn't read the newer Dune books because of it. I don't know why, but his style just annoys me after a while. It doesn't make sense because it's a good style, he's a good writer.
