  • Rosamilia on Fallon's left? Huh.

  • lol the look on his face when the person invites him to stay at their house.

  • He makes you feel like you were there...

  • What does he say at the beginning? "this is a song about..." who?

  • @Poppi24 "this song is about stealing wallets"

  • @Poppi24 "Stealing wallets."

  • since everyone likes gaslight and this song as much as i do i'll shamelessly plug "The Blacklist Royals- Drive On" same style great band

  • What I love about Brian is he writes truth. He takes from his experiences. He once said in an interview in response to a question asking his thoughts on people comparing him to a young Bruce Springsteen that while he respected Springsteen and loved his songwriting, he could never understand how Bruce could write such meaningful songs about some topics he hadn't experienced firsthand. I love both artists, but I'm amazed at how real Brian is. Watch his acoustic performances and you'll get it.

  • Slept out in the rain. We scared and tired and berely seventeen. Thats powerful for me. Peace out.

  • I just love his voice;

  • every song, a story told

  • I love their lyrics. I can listen to them and almost escape from the real world, because to me their lyrics tell stories. <3

  • Shivers down your spine.. every time

  • “My first sin: a young America girl, a fear that made me old, a lie I told the world…”

Sometimes when listening to the stories others tell I began to understand myself.

  • These guys are so awesome live.

  • I miss the tele

  • "all hope abandon, ye who enter here"

said the sign i read that was hanging above her bed

  • This to me is such a Bruce song. The little guitar parts after the verses sounds like "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" or that country type in "Outlaw Pete". But this band is amazing and I cant wait for "American Slang". Glad to see these guys and "The Hold Steady" are keeping rock alive.

  • wasnt expecting them to kick it into high gear at the end there. awesome.

  • I DIDN'T KNOW THIS SONG WAS ABOUT STEALING WALLETS!!!! Huh, learn sumthin' new every day...

  • I don't believe him. Not more than about 70% anyway. ;)

  • about what is this song? i dont understand what he says...

btw - awesome vid and great version!

  • he says "this is a song about stealin wallets"

because in one of the versus he talking running with dirty angels, assuming some sort of theives

  • Love the gaslight because you can interpret their lyrics in many different ways, it fits different things and meanings =]

  • Me thinks he was just making a joke perhaps?

  • awesome finish..... love them

  • I love the way they did the outro!! Theyre just always good. They're the only band of the decade to write and record something like 30 songs without ONE of them being bad.

  • I know, right?! And the fact they're going back into the studio without breaking is mindblowing. I can't fucking wait.

  • @rikirockstar I've said the same thing. They're not my favorite band (though they're very up there), but they're the only band I can think of with not a single bad song.
