  • I own a house similar to that, on The Sims haha!

  • Its got my name all over it.

  • My father was the general supervisor that built this house for a company called the JD group. I got to run around the entire thing during its 3 year (i think) construction period as a kid. Shit is huge

  • sickening

  • Nobody owns this house its still for sale. I CALL IT!

  • I think there is a little misconception that someone in the music business already owns it mariah carey

  • this mansion is on sale D: i wish i had the money to buy it

  • @mscm82 your so right i read an intervieuw a few weeks ago it was right before she gave birth to the twins she admited that she had an other home in LA but she didn't say it was fleur de lys but if its true damn mariah got taste,

  • @shaiska

She didn't buy it she made an offer but nothing materialized. The Fleur de lys was put back on the market after the Manor was sold. It is still for sale and the price has not changed.

  • The house is beautiful but someone needs to redecorate. Mariah needs to get the same person who decorated her penthouse to decorate. That place is beautiful too.

  • Conspicuous Consumption --Is that all there is?

  • This was in the movie "2012."

  • @NewYorker366 And it was the Reid Mansion in 'The Green Hornet'!

  • i wouldn't mind buying this house, given that i still have overflowing money even after making the purchase. hahaha

  • beautiful!! i... want... that.... library =( i need it. so many books!

  • This is the house that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon; or more appropriately said.. this is Mariah Carey's new house.... $125,000,000 BAAM!!! FIERCE!!

  • @cgbmail She didn't end up buying it she settled for a 7million dollar home in Bel air more "homey"

  • @cgbmail and they were looking at a different 125 million dollar mansion

  • its ok not like my parents house, i mean its big but, the design, to white outside

  • I really liked the design the house all that marble, carving & old French/kings furniture & accents, lighting an all …real gorgeous from head to toe. Just didn’t liked the Gold accents on walls and poles , looks ugly to me

  • soo much gold this is suck

  • @XxBulletXPtoofxX you're right-they ruined it with the gold-tacky

  • Ugly ugly ugly. This is a house for a really old woman.

  • @w8lifter201 You wish you could live in it.

  • it's expensive for a pastiche...

  • I don't like anything about this house, it's barren out front and back, and the interior is tacky. Give me some interesting and appealing architecture with some landscaping.

  • super gay.

  • Whether it's more appropriate for a public building than a home, the architecture & construction quality of this building are very, very good. They dont make buildings like this anymore (unfortunately) & the attention to detail is impeccable. But $125 million is overpriced. Probably bc they were very picky about materials (like a very specific limestone), the antique furniture, and the totally unnecessary gold trims everywhere. Then again, if you're a filthy rich bastard w/money to waste....

  • Meh, I don't like the interior at all. It looks tacky.

  • Where is the FUN??

  • @TheSasha1111 Well, if you have an electric guitar, a microphone, a giant TV, an exercise machine... I dunno.

  • its tooh fancy .

  • It's Mariah Careys house now!

  • @skyyk9s Never mind that. It'll always be fictional character Britt Reid's to me.

  • IMO, nothing wrong with a house this size or price. My only problem with this place is it doesn't seem like a house at all, more like a museum. Not very comfortable.

  • The Green Hornet was filmed here wasnt it!?

  • @Irashiu Yes! I can picture Britt leaning outside it, all confrontational.

  • $125 mil...that only leaves me enough to buy myself a Pinto and minus $124,990,000.

  • wow that house seems like Buckingham Palace very beautiful and so breathtaking oh if I only could live there!!

  • I deserve this house and a rich man to go with it lol!

  • @rosey10880 I'm going to buy this!

  • YEH $125 million gets me a few blocks away from the hood fuck that

  • wow! mariah and nick's twins on the way will sure have an amazing childhood growing up there!

  • who the fuck owned this?

  • @SummerWizz1 mariah carey nick cannon

  • this house is still for sale for 125m

  • No one paid anything it's still for sale Hilton and hyland

  • The outside limestone, the interior fireplaces and the floors were very nice, but all that gold is just tacky.

  • exterior is awesome, library is awesome, I would gut the rest of the place though, yuck!

  • LOVE THE OUTSIDE the inside not too much

  • Just goes to show that money does not buy taste! This is awful. This is vulgar and trashy.

  • That interior is too much. So much so that it is gaudy with all that gold.

  • Ya some haters that shit is serious

  • @rroughneck I agree it's absolutely beautiful.

  • Does that price tag come with all the sweet old shit inside? Or is it one of those gay selling showpieces like cribs?

  • waste of space , money and ugly ....

  • The interior is so tacky.

  • Maria Carey bought this and paid $100 million for it

  • @SirRobbins 125 milli

  • @djdavidastbury that was it's listing but she paid $100 mill. Not $125 like the asking price.

  • @SirRobbins Her offer was regected...

  • Some people have money to build palaces & others buy lottery tickets !

  • why would you wanna live in a museum? it looks silly. it´s the same thing with dresses, just because you can get in it doesn´t mean it looks good on you. same with houses just because you can afford it, it doesn´t mean you should have it.

  • I guess the saying is true, money can't buy taste. Just because it's French, doesn't mean it looks good.

  • excuse me, y don't speak english very well, but, is this mansion in Beverly Hills? Homby Hills? or Bel-Air?

  • Comment removed

  • i like the outside and the gardens, im not too crazy about the indoor decor, its too much, almost obnoxious. BTW they filmed an audi commercial at this house.

  • @GlothenKillU LMAO... imagine that lol

  • lol imagine if u spend ur whole life trying to earn enough money 4 it, u finally bought it, then it caught fire.

  • @GlothenKillU u would have buy fire insurance duhh. =]

  • who wud be stupid to pay that much for that house?

  • Mariah Carey buy this house! ;)

  • That's the most beautiful home I 've ever seen!

  • Th entrenece to candy spellings is nicer

  • I read somewhere that Mariah Carey had made an offer.

  • Mssr. mbostrom, Your opinions expose an arrogant exceptionality & ignorance, & rudely contradict French experts on Beaux Artes Francois design. 'Fleur de Lys' won the Chevalier de lOrdre des Arts et Lettres (Knights of the Order of the Arts & Literature) Frances highest cultural award (past recipients include Picasso, Matisse, Manet) France's Minister of Culture & Ambassador to U.S.A. presented this in Los Angeles to the Sapersteins. Oh, your 'Little Napoleon Complex' is showing darling.

  • What a great impression you make when you start of by exchanging the word francaise (french) francois (a name). There is no such term as "beaux arts francaise" design outside uneducated petite-bourgoise circles in america. If you can't think of any other reason why a billionaire would receive a prize than his or her excellent taste you lack imagination. 18th century french architecture has been my hobby since i was the age of ten, i think my opinion on this house is relevant and informed.

  • love your comment's Look@see1now! The house is truly magnificent. Let's remember this is NOT France, this is Hollywood after all. And Suzannes's home is about as beautiful as it get's out here, so is her collection of antiques, several that belonged to Marie Antoinette. It is a true honor and privilege to see them and the home.

  • well, i'll agree about the antiques, i wouldn't mind seeing more of them. I'd just like to reupholster them a bit first... ;)

  • very embarassing to call it a louis XVI desk wnen it is in fact not at all... it's a regence..period between louis XIV and louis XV, that is about fifty yeatrs older and in almost the opposite style to what is claimaed in the video..

That kind of bullshit is what makes europeans think of americans as very uncultured... i could have designed this home stylistically when i was twelve... pathetic architecture really...

  • Sounds a little like sour grapes. I agree the host description is not correct, but the house is magnificent. If you would have ever spent time there and knew the owners and how and where they acquired the antiques, you would feel differently.

  • @Christophechoo

    More like grapes of wrath!

I think perhaps you fail to realise that i study architecture and have had as my main interest since i was about eleven french eightenth century architecture... so i probabely see the house better than you in many ways even though i haven't had the pleasure to visit. I actually used to make designs for eightenth century houses as a child :).

If you know the owner, tell her to get in touch and i'll help her redecorate ;) , i gotz the know how...

  • and i'm swedish...as is she i believe..we're made for each other... ;)

  • I do love Sweden, Drottingholm Palace is so beautiful. We love 18th century furniture.

  • thanks, to the extent i can be held responsible for the lovelyness of sweden that is.

Yes drotningholm is very nice, and 18th century furniture is most awe-inspiring...not to say pseudo erotic ;)

  • I do love it and think your comment is funny.

  • to be honest tha room at 1:18 is kinda tacky

  • Mssr. mbostrom, Most Europeans & cultured world citizens know not to confuse a TV announcer of limited expertise (in any country) with an entire nation's socio-cultural sophistication.

Some think of you "as very uncultured...a pathetic kind of bullshitter really..." Oh, its not usually spelled 'claimaed' - but for a "twelve year old stylistically"..... perhaps so, darling.

  • My dream home.

    :]

  • Suzanne Saperstein got this home in her divorcce.

  • She sure did and she is living their like the queen she is.

  • Ms. Saperstein has had the estate on the market for several years at $125,000,000mU.S.

No beaus serious to acquire, to date.

  • It is actually currently off the market.

  • @Look2See1now thats not true. It only been on the market a few years and they had an offer of $86mil -i think thats pretty serious

  • very impressive...anyone know who owns it?

  • i wouldent wont all the antichues
