been 4 times to this area all in october. I remember in 07 there being a day like this with the big waves coming around the island and everyone jumping in off the jettis. Still a fun day even though there was wind!

I was working in Althea Beach Hotel (100 m from the shown place) as a lifeguard. One russian man was drawning in 20-30 metres from the coast. Waves were 3-4 times higher and more agressive. I was trying to rescue him, but despite of all my tryings he died, and it was really hard to get back to earth again...

Like DJdoubleJuk said i was there JULY o7 and the waves were the biggest i have ever seen ! they had to pull all the boats in at fig tree and had to shut down there water sports centre, it was wild

Trust me, ive been going to Cyprus since forever and went last year in JULY 2007 for a wedding and it was 10x worse, the waves were huge. The people at the water sport said they never known it to be that bad in the summer. Only lasted about 3-4 days and I have only seen it that one time since ive been going there over the years, other times its calm.

mate when you went there was there a hotel next door called the andronica its a 3 storey hotel and ive been looking for it for a while i stayed there in 2005 and im looking to go back there before i go in the army in may
