  • I just got a camel bak today at sail in Oshawa

  • I thought the quick disconnect was nice. It makes it so you don't have to re-thread your drinking tube every day (a minor inconvenience to be sure), just open up your pack and pop the bag out to refill. I did find the reservoir to be unacceptably fragile: I'm a geologist, so I put rock samples in my pack every day. One of my rocks punctured the reservoir when I laid my pack on the ground for lunch. Never had this problem with a camelbak, which I'll be sticking with from now on.

  • Thumbs up if your sick of HUBCITYOUTDOORS going on about geigerrig. I believe in only camelbak, platypus and osprey for hydration systems

  • The quick disconnect feature on the tube is so you can install an inline filter. A filter allows you to fill with water anywhere you find it along the trail (creek, lake, pond, etc.).

  • what was the name of the intro song you used?

  • @nanashi1o3 Modestep - Sunlight

  • Have you seen the new Geigerrig packs that won the best new hardgoods product at the Outdoor Retailer show? Search "field test: geigerrig hydration systems" on youtube. The system also flips inside out for cleaning in the dishwasher... search "how to clean a geigerrig hydration backpack" on youtube. Sprays, filters, turns inside out for cleaning, lifetime warranty. Also...bombproof...search "Geigerrig contained bomb test on youtube".

  • @HUBCITYOUTDOOR hydrapak runs overs there's with a forklift and also throw it doors and they kick it stomp on it and hit it with a hammer

  • Hey good review. I too have a Platypus Big Zip SL. I really like mine alot. The good thign about the quick disconnect is it makes cleaning a little bit easier. You can also use it as a way to connect your water filter straight into it and pump water right into the bladder without having to unzip it. I have some other Platypus products and I did a review on them if you ever wanna check it out on my page under Water Storage. Good job man.
